It would lend to a very touching scene.

Reminds me of the very-hard-to-find CoroCoro adaptation of Mewtwo Strikes Back, where Fuji convinced Mewtwo to destroy him and the lab, which after some hesitation, Mewtwo did, though he cried afterward from losing Fuji, who he considered a father.

Would make for a similar heart-wrenching scene.

Though, if Wily is going to off himself... perhaps he should wait a bit.  Mewtwo has some hardware that he would sooner trust Wily to remove than allow himself to be touched by any Nurse Joy.  It would also give Wily even more reason to go after Team Rocket by himself--their meddling almost kills his "son," should that impending infection get really, really bad.

"Lexi" is my default for author insert characters.  The surname changes, but the given name is usually some derivative of "Alexis."
