After slogging my way through the Graveler Gauntlet, after having to overdose my now-insane Hypno on Hyper Potions after every single damn Graveler repeatedly blew up in his face, after feeding Mewtwo a bushel of Leppa berries to replenish his Earthquake after dealing with countless of damn Gravelers, after smashing rock after rock after rock and going in and out of that damn stinky cave for a total of almost three damn days of hunting and Rock Smashing and Graveler explosions and Pokemon Center frequent flying and getting strung out on Berries and Potions and explosions, explosions and goddamn Gravelers EVERYWHERE...

I finally caught a Shuckle.

God, come to think of it I really need to sit down and work on Yuuta (Typhlosion) and Shiva (Noivern).

Their defensive stats are horrid.

My main Hypno's speed is dismal, his attack and defense blow chunks, his special attack is meh, and the only thing he has going for him is his special defense and enough HP to not outright faint when a Graveler explodes in his face.  He's really terrible and I've since bred better Drowzees with better Natures, better stats, and friggin' Insomnia.

Yet I keep using this one.  It's not like he's my only Hypno, as I have Kadath, my female Hypno with better stats.  Eh, I'll get around to raising better ones after I'm done raising this one.

I wonder how his newly-acquired PTSD will help his Forewarn...

Yeah my 'mons stats really don't make sense.

My Venusaur is ungodly fast yet has a mediocre special attack. (Granted, it's defense is up there.) My Typhlosion's Special Attack is overtaking everything else, Noivern's Attack is dismal, and somehow my Sylveon's Special Defense is some kind of legendary.

TBH I don't do much breeding so I really don't know what's "normal".

Gareth (Venusaur) is the exact same I got from the Professor so I don't know it might've been involved in some experiments... Can't say for sure.

Off the top of my head, I have Meat Shield Mewtwo (his HP is monstrous), Runaway the Brick Wall (an Alakazam with a maxed Defense), Hypno the Beefy (maxed Special Defense), Yellow Sign the Slow (all the Sigilyph's stats are rather lackluster, except for I think his Attack), and I'd need to check the rest later.

To me, normal is the base stats of a Pokemon without EVs.
... Of course, your Venusaur must have a lot of speed EVs, or a nature that benefits speed growth... Or both.

It's a Timid nature so that probably explains the unholy speed stat.

I'm not sure if I ever brought this up but Venusaur is pretty awkward in Amie.

I don't know but IRL I'd be a lot more content patting its head than stroking the giant tree flower on its back.
Thing is it prefers the tree.
I swear to Arceus this better not be some kind of metaphor.

I'm still EEEEEEEEEEEEing on the inside!  Also if I'm right we might see some Groudon and Kyogre Mega Evolutions judging by those covers! 

Maybe they'll be a focus on Mega Evolutions in these remakes since the story of Ruby and Sapphire is, in my opinion, the most boring and confusing.  Emerald did not make this better.
