I cried a little.
His farewell was very drawn out. Then again, this is the show getting the standards it deserves, with more concentration on characters and whatever else makes sense whilst I try to convey what I'm saying. I'm not one of those violent anti-RTD fans, but there were still obvious issues I had with the script;

The Master returns via, uhh, 'potions', out of nowhere.
He can jump and around and fly and fire bolts of electricity, why and how exactly.
RTDs' fondness of 'big numbers' in the Master Race is yet another 'magic wand' concept.
The Earth is in danger again.

..I actually I thought I had more issues with the script than that but I guess not.
I just think it's a shame that The Tenth Doctor never got a 'fresh start'. After Rose left, all he did was whine about it for the whole next season. Then when she came back, I sorta' thought to myself 'well it's almost as if she never left anyway'. Then.. Well, the one special I thought was god awful was Planet of the Dead. The rest of that time was taken up by flashbacks and companions returning at every second moment. I mean, Sarah Jane? The conclusion of School Reuinion has been sorta' wrecked for me by the two reappearances she's made since.
Though more of Liz Sladen is never a bad thing.
Of course all of the above is more to do with how I actually felt as opposed to what happened, I guess. Now it's time for a real fresh start.
I liked it how Jack and Alonzo got hooked up though ^^
In other news, newbie fans frustrate me sometimes. 'Oh, Matt Smith'll be nowhere near as good as David Tennant' they say, based on nothing at all, conveniently forgetting that he was called The Tenth Doctor because there had been nine others. The Doctor changes. This is how it's always been. None of them have ever been bad, and if they have been, it's purely a matter of opinion.
Nor do I like the types who view the classic series as 'better'. Ridiculous. But that's another few paragraphs of opinion entirely.
