Greetings all of RPM. What you see here, is a collaboration project between myself and Quickie, as you can tell by the awesome poster art above. We are huge fans of the Green Lantern universe and what's going on in it right now, and we thought that perhaps we could bring some of the fun to the RPM community. With this, I have written bios for each Lantern that you see above. Feel free to read them. This poster and these bios are not the end either. In the future, there will hopefully be more drawings & bios. Also, for anyone who wants to join in, you're more than welcome to draw yourself as a lantern or write a bio or ignore the topic all together! Either way, I hope everything enjoys!
Blue Lantern of Sector 1337: Saint Jericho
Emotion:Hope
Homeworld: Odym
History: From his outward appearance, Jericho would seem to be a very laid back and carefree individual. He is very optimistic, curious, and an all around nice person to be around. That is only his outward appearance though. In reality, Jericho is one of the seven Children of the Stars, who may or may not have ties to the Emotional Spectrum of the universe. Jericho represents the brilliant Blue Sapphire Comet, and has travelled the universe with his companion Yuna, child of the Red Ruby Comet, in search of adventure. In his travels across the cosmos, Jericho has always helped out those in need, spreading hope far and wide to as many people as he can. It is even rumored that Jericho himself might be the essence and representation of the adventurous hope that all young children in the universe have. However, just like the Children of the Stars’ ties to the Emotional Spectrum, this is unknown at this time. After traveling the universe for so long, Jericho has found a place he feels like he truly belongs; the planet Websitia in Sector 1337. More specifically, the city of RPM, for it is there where he has made countless friends and where he has managed to help many people hope for the best in life, just as he does.
Over the years though, things have not always gone Jericho’s way. During one of the Sparkvernian attacks on RPM, Jericho’s Rump Shaker, his dance club and home, was destroyed. Nonetheless, he still continued to hope. His friends came through and helped him to build a new home. Due to the actions of his mischievous friend and fellow Child of the Stars, Silhouette, Jericho came very close to losing some close friends of his in RPM. Nonetheless, he still continued to hope, and through talking it out and friends back to him. After working on some new game ideas, his computer crashed and he lost everything. Nonetheless, he still continued to hope and despite all the situations in which life tried to beat him down and break his spirit, he still continued to hope that all would be well. One day while in his home, a blue light shined above Jericho’s head while he was in bed stating, “JERICHO OF WEBSITIA. YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO INSTILL GREAT HOPE.” Jericho’s could already feel what the blue light was offering, and as he accepted it’s power, the blue light revealed a blue power ring, which flew onto his finger, making Jericho a Blue Lantern. Jericho, now called Saint Jericho, had discovered that his friend Acid was the Blue Lantern of the neighboring Sector 1336, and that he was the one who had chosen Jericho to be Sector 1337’s Blue Lantern. Jericho was then instructed by Brother Acid to go to the planet Odym to be guided by Ganthet and Sayd, the two banished Guardians of the Universe who created the Blue Lantern Corps. There, he was to be instructed on what it means to be a Blue Lantern, as well as the sacrifice he would have to make to the Blue Lantern cause. No matter what lied in store for Saint Jericho, he knew he would not pass up this opportunity, for he would always hope and he would always believe that all will be well.
Oath: In Fearful Day, In Raging Night,
With strong hearts full, our souls ignite,
When all seems lost in the War of Light,
Look to the stars-- For Hope Burns Bright!Powers:All Blue Lanterns are armed with a blue power ring, fueled by the emotion hope. While under the influence of a nearby green power ring, Blue Lanterns have the ability to heal wounds. The ring's power can be supplemented with the hope of other living beings. A blue ring can negatively impact the performance of rings on the opposite side of the emotional spectrum. It can neutralize the corruptive effects of red power rings, block the energy-stealing properties of orange rings, and drain the power of yellow power rings. Conversely, a blue ring can charge a green power ring to twice its maximum power level. This effect can also negatively impact a green ring, as close proximity to the blue central power battery will overcharge a green ring, causing it to implode (taking the user's hand with it). Blue power rings manifest their constructs by reading the target's psyche. Blue rings also grant precognitive visions to their wielders.
Weaknesses:Blue Lanterns must be near an active Green Lantern's power ring to tap into their own rings' full power. Otherwise, the rings are only capable of the default abilities of flight and the generation of a protective aura. This flaw is a result of the fact that the power of hope is nothing without the willpower to enact it. Blue rings must be fueled by true hope in order to operate at their user's command.
Agent Orange: Dr. Wily II
Emotion: Avarice
Homeworld: Okaara
History: Dr. Wily II is an average mad scientist, living on Websitia in Sector 1337, with a genius intellect and a mastery of robotics. Over the years, he has created numerous “Robot Masters” in addition to various other feats of technological achievement. However, instead of sharing his technology with the world and its people, he intends to use it for his own selfish goals, one of which is nothing short of world domination. Ironically enough, he has become one of the city of RPM’s most valued citizens at times. There are times when he has allied himself with Czar Sparky of Sparkvernia, a neighboring country to the south which wants to conquer or destroy RPM. Dr. Wily II is also considered one of Websitia’s most knowledgeable experts on Pokemon. He is obsessed with catching them all and studying them, possibly to further his ambition to rule the world. Even though his personality has been known to be unpredictable at times, Dr. Wily II is a man who should not be taken lightly.
In his quest to find new power sources for his technological manifestations, Dr. Wily II sent some of his Robot Masters into different sectors of space to track some down. One day, he received a transmission from his creation, NegateMan, from Sector 2828. NegateMan informed Dr. Wily II that he had discovered an incredible source of power on the planet Okaara, in the Forbidden Forest of Weeds, and that he was going to investigate it. Dr. Wily II wanted to see this mysterious power for himself, so he boarded his DWII Yamato spaceship with his Robot Masters and headed straight for Okaara. Once arriving there, NegateMan would not answer his communications, until finally NegateMan responded by telling Dr. Wily II to “leave him alone.” Curious by NegateMan’s disobedience, Dr. Wily II decided to venture down to the planet on his own, ordering his other Robot Master to stay aboard the DWII Yamato, as he did not want to risk them being possibly corrupted by this mysterious power as well. Using the homing beacon implanted in NegateMan, Dr. Wily II followed the signal to a secret passageway in the Forbidden Forest of Weeds, which lead to an underground cavern. Once there, he found NegateMan clutching an orange lantern, which seemed to call out to Dr. Wily to take it, no matter what. NegateMan refused to give Dr. Wily II the orange lantern, so Dr. Wily II activated NegateMan’s self destruct and killed him. Dr. Wily II then took the Orange Lantern and was completely immersed by its unimaginable power. Seeing the broken pieces of NegateMan, Dr. Wily II used the orange power ring on his finger to consume NegateMan’s identity and place it inside of an Orange Doc Lantern construct. Due to the untold avarice he now felt, Dr. Wily II had no more interest in using this power on creating new Robot Masters, as that would mean getting rid of even the slightest ounce of the Orange Light’s power. Once arriving back on the DWII Yamato, he proceeded to consume and replicate all his Robot Masters, creating the beginnings of an Orange Doc Lantern Corps. Currently, Dr. Wily II’s whereabouts are unknown, and it is also unknown what his new intentions are. It is rumored that he has built a new castle on Okaara in the Forbidden Forest of Weeds, but no one who has ventured there has ever returned.
Oath: UnknownPowers:Agent Orange exclusively wields the power of the Orange Light of Avarice, which fuels his orange power ring and power battery. Some of his basic abilities are shared with other Corps: flight, aura projection, and the ability to create constructs made from orange light. The most notable and unique aspect of Dr. Wily II’s abilities, however, is his power to steal the identities of those he kills. After these individuals have died, an orange light construct resembling a Doc Robot forms around them, imprisoning their identity within, thus adding a new member to his Orange Lantern Corps. The Orange Doc Lanterns are able to steal the identities of others, for Dr. Wily II, in the same way. These Orange Doc Lanterns absorb constructs created by green power rings as well as mystical energies.
Dr. Wily II’s power is amplified by being in constant contact with his power battery. As a result of this, he can maintain his entire Orange Doc Lantern constructs, even when separated from the battery. By reabsorbing all of his constructs back into his power battery, he is able to charge his power ring to over 7000 percent power.
Weaknesses:Dr. Wily II and his Orange Doc Lanterns are unable to absorb constructs produced by the Violet Light of Love and the Blue Light of Hope. It’s interaction with the Indigo Light of Compassion are as yet unknown. Interestingly, a side effect of wielding the orange light is that Agent Orange suffers from an insatiable hunger that is never quelled regardless of how much food he eats. Other addictive side effects are unknown.
Hitomi of Sector 1337: Hitomi Agada
Emotion: Fear
Homeworld: Qward
History: In all of Sector 1337, there are two beings with whose Ego knows no bounds; Protoman Blues and Hitomi Agada. Along with a healthy ego that overshadowed most other people, they also both had extremely strong willpower, were very honest, and were both able to overcome great fear. PB and Hitomi were neighbors on the planet Websitia, in the City of RPM. While Hitomi ran her Shack of Weaponry, PB ran the Sex Shack down the way. One day, while Hitomi was at the Sex Shack with a business proposition to PB, a green light burst through the roof and hovering in front of Protoman Blues was a green power ring, which offered him a chance to join the Green Lantern Corps. PB accepted and became the Green Lantern of Sector 1337, while Hitomi watched on with somewhat disgust. Hitomi Agada had known of the Green Lantern Corps for quite some time now through her interplanetary dealings, and she did not think highly of them for their lack of ability to truly bring order to a chaotic universe. Too many criminals in the universe did not fear the Green Lantern Corps, and she knew how powerful a force fear could be. Having known Protoman Blues over these past years, Hitomi knew that the scoundrels and criminals within Sector 1337 would never fear him. She decided to take action into her own hands.
Hitomi had studied the Green Lantern Corps and learned about the previous “Yellow Impurity” in the rings, which turned out to be the living fear entity known as Parallax. She realized that if the Green Lantern’s Light was based on Willpower, then it might be possible to make her own corps based on the yellow light of fear. Working with her brother, Tsuyoshi, Hitomi traveled into the Anti-Matter Universe to the planet Qward, where she and her brother managed to summon and gather the yellow light of fear into a huge Yellow Lantern Battery that he had constructed. Through this, they were able to create a Yellow power ring, which would be fueled by the light of fear, instead of willpower. With this act, Hitomi began to form her own Corps of Yellow Lanterns, which she decided to call the Hitomi Corps. Hitomi had Tsuyoshi construct more yellow power rings and batteries, and sent the rings across the universe to gather beings who were capable of instilling great fear in others. She created a force to rival the Green Lantern Corps and would eventually challenge Green Lantern Protoman Blues, with the ideal that instilling fear in others was the proper way to bring order into a universe rampant with chaos and disorder. PB and Hitomi have clashed on many occasions, each pitting constructs against the other. Before too long, Hitomi and her corps launched a war against the Green Lantern Corps, however the Green Lantern Corps was victorious when lethal force was authorized against the Hitomi Corps by the Guardians of the Universe. The Hitomi Corps retreated to Qward, and Hitomi was captured by the Green Lantern Corps. Recently freed by her corps, she now turns her attention to the fact that other corps across the universe were starting to rise up, as well as a possible mutiny in her own corps, lead by Tek. There is also a rumor that this entire matter with PB & the Green Lantern Corps stems from him failing to get Hitomi a Wii.
Oath: In blackest day, in brightest night,
Beware your fears made into light.
Let those who try to stop what's right,
Burn like my power... Hitomi's might!Powers:Members of the Hitomi Corps use yellow power rings, which are fueled by fear instead of willpower, but otherwise function the same. It allows the wearer to create constructs based on fear. Also, the yellow rings provide the standard protective aura and flight that all power rings allow, as well as the ability to create force fields of various shapes and sizes.
Weaknesses:Aside from the recharging limitations common among the various Corps, their only known weakness is that their power can by drained by a Blue Lantern’s power ring.
Green Lantern of Sector 1337: Protoman Blues
Emotion: Willpower
Homeworld: Oa
History: Protoman Blues is a being unique to this universe, in terms of his origins. Originating from the planet Earth in Sector 2814, there was a simple New Yorker named Greg, whose unbridled arrogance and ego as well as his hyper imagination and wit created a powerful force. This force combined with his fanboy love for a fictional Rockman video game character named Blues, to create the being known as Protoman Blues. Protoman Blues was a very optimistic individual with an uplifting personality. He was also always known for his blatant and forthcoming honesty as well. An explorer, Protoman Blues decided to venture outside of his beloved NYC, as his new found power granted him abilities far beyond those of average fanboys and men. Deciding to follow his life long friend Ninja Lou, in order to keep their long time rivalry alive, Prootman Blues ventured to the planet Websitia in Sector 1337. It was on this planet that Protoman Blues first found himself in the city of RPM, that Ninja Lou had told him about. As was his nature, Protoman Blues, soon nicknamed PB by the citizens of RPM, befriended many people, including the kind and generous Vixy, admin, mistress and founder of RPM. PB and Vixy formed a special bond of friendship together, and after proving his worth over the years, Vixy knighted PB as a protector of the city, honoring the rules, code and conduct set forth by her. Due to RPM’s very light-hearted, open and perverted nature, Protoman Blues decided to make RPM his new home and set up a place where people could come and enjoy passions and pleasures of all kinds; a place he called PB’s Sex Shack.
Protoman Blues slowly became one of RPM’s most honored and respected citizens. With the Sex Shack doing well, PB decided to venture into certain business deals and arrangements with his friend and neighbor, Hitomi Agada. PB and Hitomi had mutual respect for one another, as they both could sense that the other had an ego equal to their own. One day, while Hitomi was offering PB a business proposition, a green light burst through the roof and suddenly hovering in front of Protoman Blues was a green power ring, which stated “PROTOMAN BLUES OF WEBSITIA. YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO OVERCOME GREAT FEAR. WELCOME TO THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS!” Without hesitation, PB accepted the ring and a Green Lantern uniform appeared on him. The ring then took PB through hyperspace to the planet Oa, home world of the Guardians of the Universe who created of the Green Lantern Corps. Protoman Blues was then trained on Oa, under Green Lantern Kilowog, on how to properly use the ring, instructed on its powers and its limitations. After training, Protoman Blues returned to Sector 1337 as its newest Green Lantern. With his vibrant imagination, Protoman Blues’ constructs were mostly comprised of his childhood fantasies and entertainment growing up. They would serve him well in the upcoming crisis that was about to emerge in Sector 1337.
Oath: In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might,
Beware My Power... Green Lantern’s Light!Powers:Each Green Lantern wields a power ring that can generate a variety of effects, sustained purely by the ring wearer's strength of will. The greater the user's willpower, the more effective the ring. The limits of the power ring's abilities are not clearly defined and it has been referred to as "the most powerful weapon in the universe" on more than one occasion.
When active, a power ring will encase its user in a protective, life-supporting force field. This force field allows the user to fly, travel through inhospitable environments (outer space, underwater, etc.), and enter hyperspace in order to move vast distances quickly. The ring also generates its wearer's Green Lantern uniform: the uniform appears over their normal attire and vanishes at the user's will. The uniform varies from Lantern to Lantern, based on anatomy, personal preference, and the social norms of their race.
Power rings also appear to be highly advanced computers; they are able to talk to and advise the wearer as to various courses of action, as well as act as a universal translator. Power rings are capable of generating electromagnetic radiation at various frequencies. This radiation can be focused by the wearer into a beam, similar in appearance and effect to a powerful laser. The ring can also scan for energy signatures or particular objects. Less frequently used capabilities include splitting atomic nuclei and manipulating subatomic particles (thereby transmuting chemical elements). A power ring is also capable of creating fully-functional duplicates of itself. While power rings have to be worn to be effective, at several points Green Lanterns have shown the ability to summon the ring to them from a distance (even if someone else is wearing it) or order it to carry out commands automatically after being removed.
Weaknesses:Power rings typically hold a limited charge. In earlier appearances, they required recharging every 24 hours, but more recently it seems that they possess a fixed amount of regular charge. Green Lantern Corps rings typically reserve a small portion of their power for a passive force field that "protects the wielder from mortal harm." In dire emergencies, that energy reserve can be tapped at the expense of said protection. Mind control, hallucinogens, psychic attacks, "neural chaff" and other phenomena that disrupt thought processes will all indirectly impair a power ring's effectiveness.
By far, the most significant limitation of the power ring is the willpower of the wielder.
Star Sapphire of Sector 1337: Vixy
Emotion: Love
Homeworld: Zamaron
History: Princess Vixy was the foremost expert on Love in all of Sector 1337. Her city of RPM was steadily growing, and her new found romance with fellow member Akira, had only helped her achieve great happiness. However, that happiness would not last, as a crisis had emerged. The leader of Sparkvernia, Czar Sparky, had learned of an ancient blood ritual which granted him possession of the powerful Red Light of Rage, thus becoming the leader of the Red Lanterns. Using his new powers, Czar Sparky attacked RPM in an attempt to finish off Vixy, and for Sparkvernia to conquer RPM once and for all. Vixy had fought gallantly along side her citizens, using all of her Super Heart powers to fend off the Sparkvernia invasion. The Red Light of Rage was too powerful for even her though, but before Czar Sparky could finish Vixy off, Akira stepped in front of Vixy and unleashed his own hidden powers. The combined energy created a shockwave powerful enough to force Czar Sparky to retreat, but the damage to Akira was great. Severely damaged, Akira vanished, but not before telling Vixy that he loved her.
As repairs to the city were being completed, Vixy sat alone in her Game Corner, She was happy that her city and her citizens were still okay, but there was an empty hole in her heart from losing Akira. RPMers everywhere came to pay their respects for the fallen, and try as they might, none of them could seem to cheer Vixy up, as all she would do is sit alone in her Game Corner. As she looked up into the night sky, a Violet light could be seen falling from the heavens, when suddenly it crashed through her window. As her eyes opened, she saw a Violet Power Ring hovering over her, which stated “VIXY OF RPM. YOU HAVE GREAT LOSS IN YOUR HEART. THIS RING CAN FILL THAT HOLE IN EXCHANGE FOR YOUR SERVITUDE TO THE STAR SAPPHIRES, WHICH SPREAD LOVE ACROSS THE UNIVERSE." Vixy asked the ring why she was chosen, due to the fact that she felt she could not spread love anymore without Akira in her life. “THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE, YOU HAVE EMBRACED LOVE AND GIVEN IT TO THOSE IN NEED. DURING THIS MOST RECENT CONFLICT, YOU WERE WILLING TO SACRIFICE EVERYTHING FOR THOSE YOU LOVE AND CARE FOR, JUST AS YOUR TRUE LOVE DID FOR YOU. THE ONES YOU STILL CARE FOR AND LOVE AND STILL THREATENED. A CHOICE NOW PRESENTS ITSELF: TURN AWAY OR EMBRACE THE LIGHT AND ALLOW THE STAR SAPPHIRE TO FILL THE HOLE OF YOUR BROKEN HEART SO THAT LOVE MAY CONTINUE TO BATTLE HATE AND FEAR ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. WHICH SHALL IT BE?” the ring asked. Vixy knew what had to be done, and she accepted. The violet ring stated, “WELCOME, STAR SAPPHIRE.” before encasing Vixy in a violet crystal. When Vixy emerged from the crystal, she was dressed in a Star Sapphire uniform. Due to the power of the violet light, Vixy could see that Akira was not actually killed, but had returned to his own universe in order to repair and heal himself. In time, she knew she would be with him again, but for now, Vixy embraced the light of the Star Sapphire and vowed to spread love to all.
Oath: For hearts long lost and full of fright,
For those alone in blackest night,
Accept our ring and join our fight,
Love conquers all-- With violet light!Powers:Corps members of the Star Sapphires all wear a violet power ring, fueled by the emotion of love. Their capabilities appear to be comparable to those of Green Lanterns. They allow the wearer to fly, generate a protective aura (which creates distinct feathered and organic shapes), and create violet light constructs.
Violet rings have several unique abilities. They can create crystals which can be used to imprison members of other Lantern Corps on the Zamaron planet. Over time, the rings of the prisoners trapped in stasis within the crystals are infected with violet energy. After spending enough time inside, the prisoner will emerge as a Star Sapphire. The rings can also detect when a love is in jeopardy, locate it, and then create a connection to the embattled heart that can be used as a tether. Sapphires are also shown as being able to show others their greatest love. Unlike constructs created by Green Lanterns, Orange Lanterns do not appear to be able to absorb those made by Star Sapphires. Star Sapphires appear to be able to teleport in order to escape attackers, while their energy constructs release a disorienting dust when destroyed. These two abilities can be combined effectively to avoid being pursued.
Weaknesses:Though Star Sapphires do not have a particular weakness to the abilities of the other Corps, they are more susceptible to being controlled by their own power. Love is one of the two emotions on the far ends of the emotional spectrum (the other being rage), and thus has a much stronger influence over its users. Unlike the Star Sapphire gem, which could force itself on a user, violet power rings must be accepted by the wearer "if the [violet] light is to be wielded and not blinding.
Indigo Tribeswoman of Sector 1337: Quickie
Emotion: Compassion
Homeworld: Unknown
History: Along with being the fastest woman in all of RPM, Quickie has always been one of the most compassionate women in all of RPM. Her empathy and sorrow for her fellow RPM citizen’s misfortune is accompanied by a strong need and desire to alleviate their suffering. Quickie’s super speed has made it where she has time to help as many people as she can if they need her, and she has always used her time wisely. One day, while inside her office at her establishment, Greedo’s Cantina, Quickie received a distress call from a friend named Graestan, somewhere in Sector 3577. Quickie immediately jumped into her G-1A Transport named Silent But Deadly, and headed towards Sector 3577 in order to help him. Gone for months, Quickie finally returned to RPM as a member of the Indigo Tribe, wielding an Indigo Power Ring and a Power Staff.
Quickie had come to warn the Green Lantern of Sector 1337, Protoman Blues, that a great danger was coming that would affect not only Websitia, but the entire universe as well, including all of the wielders of the Emotional Spectrum. Through becoming an Indigo Lantern, Quickie had gained knowledge of how the White Light of Creation was split into the 7 separate lights of the Emotion Spectrum, which are the Red Light of Rage, the Orange Light of Avarice, the Yellow Light of Fear, the Green Light of Willpower, the Blue Light of Hope, the Indigo Light of Compassion, and the Violet Light of Love. Only by the combined powers of the Emotional Spectrum could this new Universal Threat be stopped, and Quickie was determined to gather the most powerful members of each light in order to combat the coming darkness.
It is unknown how Quickie came into possession of an Indigo Power Ring or Power Staff.
Oath: Tor lorek san bor nakka mur.
Notromo faan tornek wot ur.
Ter Lantern ker lo Abin Sur.
Taan lek lek nok-- Formorrow Sur!Powers:The Indigo Tribe wields the indigo light of compassion. Though their powers have not been fully explored, the most distinct ability of the Indigo Tribe appears to be the ability to absorb & channel the light & powers of other Lanterns Corps and, depending upon the motivation of the source, use them as their own. The Indigo light also seems to grant the wearer empathic powers, being able to sense emotions. Also, wielders of the light of compassion seem to have the ability to instantaneously teleport across the universe by mere thought. However, this does seem to drain their powers. Like all power rings, Indigo rings appear to be capable of the default Corps abilities of flight and protective aura generation.
Whereas members of other Corps project a light display in front of the emblem on their uniform when using their abilities, Indigo Tribe members project their Corps symbol in an indigo light display from the "pod" on their staffs. The exact relationship between power staffs and rings of all colors is currently unknown. The staff has been shown to be used as a weapon, as well.
Weaknesses:Unknown
Red Lantern of Sector 1337: Czar Sparky
Emotion: Rage
Homeworld: Ysmault
History: Sparky was born a descendant of the ancient Satanee civilization, advanced for their time and whom worshiped a pantheon of wisdom and war gods. Arriving at the planet Websitia in Sector 1337 when he came of age, Sparky learned of a great city to the north with was supposedly a city of great power and wealth, which naturally he was curious about due to his upbringing. However, when he arrive at the city of RPM, he was shocked and enraged by what he found. Furious by the openly sexual atmosphere of RPM and its people, especially the leader Vixy, Sparky immediately left and travelled south, where he developed and built his own city to counter RPM, naming it Sparkvernia. Sparky crowned himself Czar Sparky, and has tried multiple times to conquer the city of RPM, believing it to be a stepping stone to achieving the “Utopian Universe” that he was raised to respect and strive for. Years have passed though, with Sparkvernia growing more wealthy and powerful. However, despite many efforts, Czar Sparky has not achieved his goals of RPM’s conquest, a fact which has only fueled his hate and rage to further heights.
As Sparky’s hate grew, so did his power, which he started to notice more and more of. Despite his transformation into Black Hole Sparky, he still found that his powers were still not great enough to further his conquest. As time grew, Sparky was convinced that he was only tapping into the hatred, but not the full extent of his rage, which prompted him to venture back to his home world. Back on his home planet, Sparky spent months researching into the ancient prophecies and rituals of his Satanee ancestry, to see if there was a way he could tap into the power of his rage as well as his hate. Sparky then found one of the oldest and most ancient pamphlets of his ancestry, telling of a red light of rage that exists across the universe, which could be harnessed and forged into a weapon of untold power. After returning back to Websitia, Sparky followed the pamphlets’ instructions on the blood ritual in which to harness the red light of rage. Sacrificing a large number of the “Unmentionable Minority” and performing the blood magic ritual, Sparky is able to forge a Red Lantern Battery from the pool of blood. After grabbing a hold of the Red Lantern Battery, he then puts his hand to the battery and recites the oath written on the pamphlet, creating a red ring on his finger which renders his heart useless, spoils his blood from within, and forcibly expels violently flammable and corrosive material from his mouth. Sparky transforms himself into Sector 1337’s Red Lantern and could feel the rage growing in his own body, as well as the hearts in others around him. Using his newfound powers, Sparky musters the Sparkvernian Army for an attack on the city of RPM. While the Sparkvernian Army would focus on the city itself, the new Red Lantern had only one thing on his now rage filled mind, only one thing to which has driven him to this attack on RPM; the death of RPM’s leader, Vixy.
Oath:With blood and rage of crimson red,
Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,
Together with our hellish hate,
We'll burn you all--That is your fate!Powers:Red Lanterns use red power rings, fueled by the rage of their users and those around them. Like other power rings, the ring covers the user in a protective aura which shields them from harm and enables flight. The power ring can also create force fields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around them. The power ring fires blasts of rage energy, which takes the form of corrosive, rage-energized blood. The user can also regurgitate this blood. The blood has the effect of bursting into flames of rage; the flames are so potent that they will burn even in space. The blood can melt through the constructs of other ring wielders and corrupt their rings, depleting their energy at an accelerated rate. Though most red ring wielders are little more than beasts driven mad by rage, individuals with strong willpower are able to manipulate the blood to create constructs. The Red Lantern ring is unique in that the user can manipulate its base of power, rage. A Red Lantern can detect the rage in the heart of others and, by connection, the blood that pumps that rage. Those who face a Red Lantern already in a state of anger are even more vulnerable to a red power ring's attack, as their anger only feeds the attack and increases its destructive power.
Weaknesses:The red power ring has also displayed a number of weaknesses as well. To wear a red power ring is to be overtaken by the red light of rage, reducing the wearer to act on pure instinct, driven to kill and destroy with no reason or forethought. To date, only a select few have shown to keep control of their mental faculties. Also, a red power ring operates by expelling the lifeblood of the wearer, replacing it with its red light. As a result, removing a Red Lantern's power ring will instantly result in the wearer's death. However, a Blue Lantern's ring has shown the ability to reverse this process, thus freeing the wearer from the ring. The combined powers of the blue and green power rings can destroy the red ring.
RPM Lantern Corps - Black Hand: Sky Child
Emotion:Death
Homeworld:Ryut
History:Sky Child always had a love of Zombies and beings that were dead. In a place such as the City of RPM, where life, light, and emotion flourished endlessly, she felt somewhat out of place at times. Constantly leaving and coming back, confused as to her place and her purpose in RPM, she would roam around aimlessly, meeting new people and trying new things out. Despite her reluctance at times, she still managed to maintain a friendship with many RPMers, including many of the bearers of light in Sector 1337, before they got their rings of power. Sky Child was knighted by Vixy, RPM’s founder, to be a protector and upholder of the peace. For a time, she seemed happy with this, but it’s possible that the power of dealing out banishment and death is what truly appealed to her more than anything. Even though she was a fantastic RPM Knight, there was still a part of her that felt out of place, and that feeling was growing more and more as time passed. Later on, Sky Child renounced her knighthood and stepped down from power. Soon after that, she left RPM and wandered around Websitia aimlessly. She could hear a voice calling out to her.
During her journey of self discovery, this voice continued to talk with her about the nature of death and banishment in the universe, a subject which continued to fascinate her more and more. She was told not only about the white light of creation, but about the war between the light and the darkness when life in the universe first came to be and how the white light splintered off into the seven lights which make up the emotional spectrum. The more Sky seemed to hear about this, the more she fell into darkness. As the darkness inside of her grew more and more, the War of Light foretold in the Book of OA ignited throughout the universe. Finally, when the voice told her that she would not only be able to command zombie-like beings reanimated from those that were dead or banished but that she would have the opportunity to become one herself, she gave into the darkness completely. She arrived back at the city of RPM and managed to get one of the knights to banish her soul and essence from her body. As her body lay there, one of the Guardians of the Universe named Scar appeared and she created a Black Ring, which flew onto Sky Child’s finger and reanimated her body. She was reborn into the Black Hand, an avatar of death, and the living embodiment of the soon-to-be-formed Black Lantern Corps. Her purpose was now clear; to eradicate the light so that the darkness would prevail and bring the universe back to peace.
Oath:The Blackest Night falls from the skies,
The darkness grows as all light dies.
We crave your hearts and your demise,
By Sky’s Black Hand -- The Dead Shall RisePowers:The Black Lanterns are corpses reanimated by black power rings, which are fueled by the power of death. Black Hand is the avatar, or living embodiment of the Black Lantern Corps as Ion, Parallax, and the Predator are to the green, yellow and violet lights of the emotional spectrum, respectively.
The fictional structure of black power rings is similar to dark matter, which permeates the universe and constantly transmits energy to an unknown source. Corpses reanimated by black power rings are reconstructed if damaged, keeping the body in working order at all times. Black power rings are capable of regenerating typically fatal injuries inflicted upon their users (including decapitation and complete dissolution). The rings generate black tendrils to "root" themselves into the corpses, making it impossible to remove them by physical force.
The first black power rings possess no charge, but each time a Black Lantern kills someone and removes their heart, .01 percent power is restored to every ring in the Corps. Even at low power levels, black rings enable their user to fly and create black energy constructs. They are also unaffected by magic. In "classic" zombie fashion, the bite of a Black Lantern induces a slow-acting necrosis that eventually turns the victim into a fellow Black Lantern. It's unknown if this power can work on any living being, or only those characters who have been resurrected from death before. It is also potentially lethal to touch a Black Lantern's blood.
Black Lanterns are able to read the emotions of the living as a colored auras that correlate to the emotional spectrum. Multiple emotions read as a multi-colored aura, while unreadable emotions come out as white. Furthermore, demonic and underworld dwellers are read with a black aura, apparently as unreadable as the white one due to their dead nature. In addition to the abilities granted to them by the rings, Black Lanterns retain any superpowers they may have had in life. Beings that have been resurrected from death in the past are also vulnerable to being recruited to the Black Lantern Corps.
Weaknesses:A combination of the green light of willpower with any of the other six lights of the emotional spectrum can neutralize the black rings, rendering them vulnerable to conventional damage. Once a black ring is destroyed, the corpse it animates becomes inert. Black Lanterns are shown to be fatally vulnerable to the white energy or the "white light of creation." A state of profound suspended animation is enough to fool a Black Lantern by making the target of suspended-animation invisible to the senses of the Black Lantern. Emotionless hearts also render their bearers equally invisible to the Black Lanterns.
