I would kill for this feature in Galaxy.
I'd settle for a Fire Flower that didn't come with a timer.

You actually don't even need that many to appear because you can store them in an inventory just like SMB3. As you advance and grab minis, hold on to 'em until you really need 'em. ;)

I would kill for this feature in Galaxy.

Yeah, if I could find 'em. :\

Worse, the Mushroom Houses have them, but it's a random draw. The best 2 ways are to go back to World 1 and farm 'em, or wait for the Red Winged Question Blocks.

And yes, more flying, include flying between planets, and remove timers.

Oh, I meant that for the Wii game. The inventory is huge.

On the DS it really sucks to find the power-ups.

Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm not to worried about NSMBWii; they're already basing it on NSMB DS, and Nintendo's usually pretty good at learning from minor mistakes.

Thank god.

It takes several seconds before the embarrassing Mario voice kicks in at the Wii game select screen. This time I won't have to mute all sound when starting up.
Doesn't sound as energetic as in SMG though?

Man, that's a great intro

I like how the Koopa kids are all like "Here, have some cake!"

And Mario and Luigi are like "NO!  THE CAKE IS A LIE!"

Shame we can't mute Mario. He's been getting more and more irritating as years pass.

And this is compared to a scamp like Sonic.

His voice only gets in the way when hes you know, trying to say WORDS, besides lets-a-go otherwise I think he has an okay voice. Maybe a little too high though.

Having donned a Mario costume, I can tell you that Mario's high-pitched voice even grinds the imitator's ears when trying to talk in long spurts.

They shoulda stuck with the N64 voice.
But then again, that goes for Starfox, too!

But... his N64 voice is his voice still. Charles Martinet? And he's such a nice guy and so humble in real life....

Nothing, at all, against Martinet.

But the SM64 voice is deeper and more staccato than the Mickey Mario voice we've been getting since Luigi's Mansion. Which is why they've done that, BTW. Universality of VA appeal; higher voices are cartoonier and therefore more friendly to a greater age range of end-users.

Although it's that kind of "de-balling" that has killed some once-great series.
Megaman X 1-3 to X4 and on come to mind. That was aesthetic "de-balling".

But it's been 13 years since Super Mario 64. Don't you think his voice might have changed over time? I don't think anyone's voice would be exactly the same 13 years later...

No, but typically people's voices don't get higher-pitched as they get older.

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

So, Kamek powers up the Koopalings on the Castles.
The review says it'll make Bowser Jr. cool for once.

...

You...you don't think Kamek would age him to make, in effect, 2 Bowsers?!

The size difference is too great, so the Fusion Dance wouldn't work.
