you know, i've been hearing a lot of crap being slung at The Anime Called Tsukihime. and frankly, it's not fair. while i'm sure the original game is better, who's to say the show isn't alright by itself? it's really giving the wrong idea to nubs like me. it's kinda how i look at Dracula XX on SNES. if Rondo of Blood didn't exist, Dracula XX could've been an alright game. i say could've, cause Castlevania 4 is superior to that game in every way, despite being made 4 years earlier.

to the point, i've seen 10 episodes of The Anime Called Tsukihime, and i think it's about time an unbiased opinion of it shows up. and i must say...

it's not that good. it never really gets anywhere quick enough. rising action was very little. the transition from establishing the setting to the climax is sudden and unfulfilling. that works for comedy, but not here. a lot of characters aren't that interesting either. i doubt my opinion will change with the two episodes remaining.

There you go. For a random, easy example, the fight with Nrvnqsr Chaos is reduced to Shiki mauling one or two measly dogs (I'm looking at you, Akamaru), while in the original novel he had to deal with dogs, deer, sharks, and, if memory serves, even a freaking elephant.

Plus, the Akiha and Hisui routes kick all kinds of ass nine ways through September.

now, abbreviating fight scenes i can understand. but from i've heard, the story itself is heavily abbreviated. Sonic says, "That's no good!"

More than half the stuff that happens in the Arcueid route (which is the route used) isn't even mentioned. See what we mean?

I would appreciate a transscript as well. There's someone I know who's interested in Tsukihime but is too lazy to play the VN, mainly because it doesn't have any autoread.

They finally put on the last episode of Negima!? on Youtube! Finished the series, but I don't remember most of it anymore...

I am going to grade the whole series by this one episode: 8/10. Maybe not accurate, but if I waited this long, that meant the series was good, right?
