Kubo really should have done the Zanpakto arc after Soul Society like he wanted to. It would have given him breathing room for the arrancar arc.

Y'know, I've been thinking and I think I've figured out some of the plot-points for this "Unknown Tales" arc.

- Kenpachi wasn't present at the Sokyoku Hill when the spirits left their masters. I'm guessing he'll be important even though he doesn't know his zanpakuto's name. (Just for the record, Zaraki + Bankai = World Over)
- Judging from the episode titles, Zangetsu rebels as well. But I don't believe the "other" Ichigo is a zanpakuto spirit, and he claims that he and Zangetsu fight to become the dominant personality inside Ichigo's mind, so with the Old Man out of Ichigo's head, that leaves "Ichigo" all alone in there. Make of that what you will.

Keep in mind these are only my thoughts and will probably be mercilessly deconstructed by Zan/Jericho/Somebody at some point, but whatever.

Hollow Ichigo's comment on being two separate entities was just an offhand comment during an episode of the anime, I think, but I did get this from his character page on the Bleach Wiki.

"He also seems to respect Zangetsu's spirit to a certain extent."

That wouldn't make sense if he were Zangetsu.


I already know what you'll say: "A wiki is not a reliable source etc. etc."

Like I said, they're only my thoughts.

Huh, I didn't think that.....it'd be a good filler arc. It wouldn't have been better if Muramasa didn't interfere with all of that crap, but yeah, surprisingly good episode.

Am I the only one who thinks the Six Light Rod Prison is one of the most awesome Kidou spells in Bleach? Ever since I saw Byakuya use it on Renji in the SS arc, that's been my opinion on it.

This filler season just happens to be good because instead of introducing crap characters, they're re-introducing characters that you already knew were there, but weren't really an integral part to the story.
