Aye.  Well done indeed :), actually, IMO, that whole episode is great.  It's how every filler should be done, but ah well, ya can't have everything.

Yeah, I loved the epic foreshadowing in the first episode.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I do have enough to ask about it already. Please tell me that the Ed's "reveal scene" was just as perfect here as it was in the first series.

I don't exactly remember it, but I think it wasn't AS epic, but still awesome.

It's not my fault I'm not live feeding this right now with GAF (yes my enthusiasm for this show is that great that I'd watch a live feed without subs with a bunch of crazy people). My current computer just haet videos sadly. D:

The statue wasn't filler. It was properly there in Ch2. Ed uses it to almost kill Cornello.

What you saw in episode 3 with the statue was filler. He transmuted a single hand from the statue downstairs to smash Cornello. In the manga, he turns Cornello's entire office into a huge statue of Leto and actually smashes Cornello with it. Big difference, and kinda kills the moment where it became a tourist attraction and Hohenheim remarked on that alchemist having bad taste.

It is subbed, somewhere on this infinite internet.

And this episode was still as powerful as ever before.

I cried inside like a little girl at this part when I marathoned the original anime.

I can't say they butchered it or anything, but it still feels like I'm on the fast forward mode.

they want to get to the parts that are different than the first anime without fillers. instead of repeating the same things again

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

There must be. Somewhere, out there, in an obscure (or maybe not, I dunno) fanfic.

you mean theres a good end?

Gah, it was a reference to School Days.

Anyways, I don't think they're going to quickly with this new season. Rather, they're making making episodes chapter by chapter.

which is not really  a bad thing. heck, it gives time for new chapters to come out. the FMA manga IS still running.
