Doc Robot version seems to always run in a set distance before jumping again. Sometimes it jumps ones or twice before throwing the boomerangs. It seems to jump long distances too. That's when the slide helps, while you then jump to let the boomerangs slip past you. ^^

Also, the Doc Robots deal so much body damage, so it's better to get hit by their weapon instead if you have to get hit at some point.

I dunno, man. On one hand you're right, on the other... I always thought it's more fun to actually BE SURPRISED along with my friend (or anybody else I'm watching [parasitic bomb] with). Because then it's kinda, dunno, more of a enjoyable experience.

Besides, it probably won't be long before he arrives. So yeah. I'll wait.

But it's like, the fact he didn't even give it a chance, that bothers me.

We watched half of the first episode of Phantom Blood. HALF.

And I had to turn it off.

I know it might be just different tastes, but it really seems to me sometimes, that he judges things too much based on their appearance.
At least he hates harem anime and other too fanservicy ones. So it's not like he has "[parasitic bomb] taste" or anything.

The thing is, he likes when there is fighting in animoo (me too), but he doesn't like them long running series like Naruto, Bleach or One Piece(me too).
So I guess... SAO being short was right up his alley(not me too).

The only problem with him, I don't know what to pick sometimes to watch with. When we gotten Fate/Zero the first episode was 40 or so minutes (because it was a blu ray rip or somesuch) and if not for my [tornado fang]ing great persuasive skills, we wouldn't have gotten past that.

He complained they talked too much, and especially about the scene with Kirei, his father and "Papa Tohsaka". You know, where they walk around in circles around Kirei. I admit, it wasn't the most thrilling experience, but it was a SET-UP. SETUP episode.

It's really sad too, cuz he's far from being a stupid person. And I'm glad to have someone like him as a friend, but picking out something to watch with him is horrible.

Hell, If I hadn't forced him to watch Transformers Prime, he would still say "I'M NOT INTERESTED IN TRANSFORMERS DERP".

Its the same with my friend who said Fate/Zero had too much talking, telling me that the action and story development needed to be balanced a lot more. Though I thought the story development was better than most action/shounen anime. Well then again I I'm not really that informative with plot build up.

Majority of casual people who watch anime/movie only watch for action, cool stuff rather than the setup of the world in the story. They tend to skip the talking part, plot,etc and only watch the fight, and then they tend to question "why character A is fighting character b" and silly stuff told in the anime itself. Well that usually happens to majority of the people I know IRL.
