OK, I'm nowhere near where everyone else is here in regards to keeping up with One Piece, but holy damn, I can't believe that I forgot how good the writing is. I just got up to the revelation of the people of status in their world and man, I just fell in love with it all.

Also Sanji is easily one of the top 3 Straw Hat pirates in terms of tactical ability. Dude is just awesome.

Yup I fell in to the series like a brick in the ocean. Currently up to Chapter 441 after an epic marathon last night. Thoughs on everything up to there:

- I knew there was going to be something great about Shanks!
- Holy crap Luffy has an awesome family.
- Why haven't we heard from the Shihibukai since Crocodile? (I also have to say that even now, he still one of my favorite One Piece villains.)
- Poor Sanji and his wanted portrait. Also, poor Chopper with his bounty.
- Whitebeard is one of my favorite pirates. He looks like GAR personified.
- I think Franky & Nico had the best backstories to me (as far as personal impact is concerned).
- All of those little chapters before a chapter made me chuckle occasionally. I wonder if the characters highlighted are going to come back into play in the future?
- Devil Fruits are some serious [parasitic bomb].

I would have died from the awesome of the Enies Lobby arc if I were catching it all weekly. Also, Thriller Bark, which was great actually, would have really been lost in the afterglow of Enies Lobby.

I have to admit though, that even with all of the battles and stuff that has happened before, this new one being hinted at [spoiler]The Royal Shishibukai vs. Whitebeard's Pirates[/spoiler] gave me shivers at the implications. Also, more questions since I like talking about this now:

- Donquxiote Donflamingo is quite high up there, isn't he? (Also, his character design is fuckawesome.)

- Is the World Government just a pack of highly corrupted folks? I don't think I've ever felt a sense of indignant rage at a fictitious group of antagonists ever. Oda can really write.

-Apparently, even now we barely even know what the [tornado fang] he can do.
-Well, the government sure as hell is (come on, is completely obliterating an island for studying history REALLY necessary?), but at least there are marines that really care about justice and stuff.

Your second line just reminded me that I really miss Smoker & Tashigi (sp?).

Also, Chapter 513 is really making me go "OH NO!" like I'm a kid again. Can the Straw-hats really get as strong as some of the guys that showed up on the Archipelago? (Besides Luffy, Zoro & Sanji of course, since they're monsters. )

Edit: Holy [parasitic bomb], I have found my favorite character in this series by far. Boa Hancock.
