Question: Should I get Calamity Trigger right now, cheap? I'm not gonna play online or competitively much, and when Continuum Shift comes out, I dunno if I'm gonna buy it at full price. I got the option to get CT right now at 20 euros. Should I go for it?

I'd recommend waiting for CS but it's ultimately up to you.

I would say go for it. The best part of BB is the story, which each characters has different routes to. While CS is more or less an updated CT, Story wise it continues where the latter left off.

...define "good story", since fighting games normally don't have much of one.

I'll be honest and say that I think the story is kinda overrated (well, it is good for an FG though), if you have a PSP you could "get" Portable instead of CT if you ever want to see the story.

I played the japanese Portable on the PSP. I'll just go ahead and say this. I am a guy who is hard to please in terms of story, and kinda hates the typical anime bullshit. So either the game's story would SERIOUSLY wow me, or I'd just disregard it. Still, I'm thinking of just getting CT, as I don't think I'd get CS at full price as soon as it comes out, and I just want an amusing fighter to entertain myself. Is there alot to do in the game's single player mode?

Oh I know that by now. For single player there's beating arcade mode with everyone (which unlocks their Astral Finish or in the case of Ragna/Nu/Hakumen/Rachel their Unlimited form), there's the story mode and all of its branching paths (which I doubt you'd take seriously, but the silly/"joke" alternate paths are totally worth it IMO

), there's score attack which WILL kick your ass if you're not good at FGs unless you cheese the AI, there's getting all the achievements/trophies, and a gallery with stuff that gets unlocked as you play (unlike Portable where you buy it).

The best part of BB is its great online play, but since CS will come out I doubt there's going to be many people playing anymore. Still, it should be cheap by now (hell, I think it was cheaper than Portable when I bought it and I got it new), so I don't think you can go wrong.

Story with branching paths plus unlockables. More than enough for me.

Note that you don't always get a hint for where or how the story branches, for some you need to lose on purpose and for others you need to finish everyone with a super, hell, IIRC for one you need to something else in someone elses story before you can get the true ending.

So far 100%'d Ragna, Rachel, and Noel....actually Noel is at 99% for some reason.....

As far as the joke endings go,

Rachel and the SPECTACLES OF EROS! (+tsun tsun dere dere) > Noel's >Ragnas. The thing with Ragna's is that it went on too long.

And something that's bugging me that's happening A LOT in CS than it did in CT are these gay dub titles and english line add ones. I'm not fluent, But I damn well know they're not saying half this [parasitic bomb].

Like in Rachel's pre-battle talk with Terumi.

Terumi's VA: Oh? you mean that Failure? (referring to the black beast)

While the Text box has.

Another thing is that the english text/dub turned Nu into like, some sort of valley girl that like, says like and stuff like at the end of every sentence! and does like, ya know that thing where the pitch her voice gets higher after every woorrrdd!. (Stewie)

Also Terumi on Hell mode=FFFFFUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKK!!! [tornado fang] you and your GN particle cancer.

Oh, right, I forgot to mention that I got CS on Tuesday. I only really did some versus so far, and Hazama's arcade mode. The 'TV'(see also, make shift TV out of my spare monitor) got annexed today for other purposes, so I didn't get to play it.

So when exactly do we get the DLC characters? I want Hellsing. He looks awesome.

Makoto is available in the day the euro version is realsed. Along with the automatic 1.1 update.

There's no date or anything on Hellsing or Platinums release dates.

It has been confirmed that Makoto and them will not have story or arcade modes.

No clue.

So far I have 100% with Ragna, Noel, Jin, Tager, Rachel, and Lambda.

And Lambda's story is seriously NOT funny . Literally from start to finish, it's [tornado fang]'d up. Even her Gag real ending is pretty messed up at the end.

Kokonoe is a total [lightning web], plain and simple. At least even Hazama just kills you and doesn't have a basement full of [tornado fang]ing Nukes.
