Lgbt+ Megaman Headcanon Discussion

Hey I'd like to see other people's mm headcanons ! Anything is welcome as long as it is in the megaman classic/megaman x series and not offensive to others. Keep in mind ace discourse is not welcome here and ace/aro hcs will not be posted as they are not lgbt+ .

For instance, Splash Woman is most definitely a trans woman (Ocean Man pre-e). Same goes for Hornet Man ( Vesper Woman pre-t).

@Mirby No I do not believe that cishet aces or acearos are part of the lgbt+ community as they do not experience much oppression for their orientation, but that's a whole nother can of beans. Also yes, I do headcanon them as trans based on the scrapped concepts of them as a different gender, also because I am trans myself and I like to headcanon characters I like as trans too. I headcanon Splash Woman as a trans lesbian because I am a trans gay man and there is no evidence against it in canon.

Oppression isn't even a part of whether or not something is part of the LGBT spectrum or not. Not to mention that, as an asexual person myself, I have experienced some oppression regarding it. So there's that.

Not to mention that as a trans woman myself, I absolutely despise when people force transness on characters when none exists. And just because there is no evidence against it in canon doesn't make it so.

and while i understand how cool and neat it would be to have lgbtqia characters in this kind of media, you're only disappointing yourself if you try to look for it where it's not there

saying that these robots are gay/lesbian/bisexual/asexual makes more sense to me than saying they are transgender, because as inorganic beings they do not have hormones, and are manufactured the way they were meant to be from the beginning.

robot sentience is of course a thing in the megaman universe, and a robot could probably have their body altered to match their gender identity. but... i don't think including "pre-estrogen" and "pre-testosterone" in your headcanons makes a lot of sense here.

and this website was created as a celebration of the entire megaman franchise
the first megaman title was released in 1987, making the franchise exactly 30 years of age

they are built with gender signifiers and granted both names and pronouns by their creators, but i didn't say they can't be trans. they have the choice to change these gender signifiers, but they are inorganic and this would not be done with hormone replacement therapy. that is what i said.
