Speaking of anime space opera, I'm doing a really crappy job keeping up with
Towards the Terra (and pretty much everything thing else that's eating up my hard drive), a.k.a.
Terra e... or
To Terra.... It's an old space opera manga (from the
1970s) that was adapted for animated movie, adapted into a manga again in 2007, then adapted into a TV series, but I hear it's really good though characterizations and the plot differ from the adaptations according to TV Tropes (I couldn't track down the movie but I found the anime adaptation). The series also served to be an inspiration of G.rev little-known shoot 'em up series,
Senko no Ronde. Heck, it may as well be
Towards the Terra: The Video Game since it barrows many elements from the manga and its adaptations (plus Virtual-ON). It localized in the West as "WarTech" which made no sense considering the game's story is a space opera but the cover gives the impressions that it's all about giant robots and nothing else. Here's to hoping G.rev will port the game and its Japanese-
and-region-locked-only sequel seeing that they've ported one of their own games onto Steam.
