The Mana-Verse

[Fxeni]

Fxeni woke up with a slight startle at Toshi yelling. He looked around and saw that a few people were already wake.

"Do we have visitors?" Fxeni asked with a yawn, stretching slightly as he got up.

[Sakura Leic]

"I'm hearing some more Chevals." Calien stated while still being very irritated and cranky "At least twice as many as the first group."

Sakura went over to Riagan and Pema to wake them up as well.

"Riagan, Pema I'm sorry to wake you guys up but we got more trouble heading this way." Sakura stated.

[Phi]

Pema groaned and slowly arose from her makeshift bed, rubbing her eyes, "Wha... What's going on... Izzit morning already?" Her speech was slurred a bit, then proceeded to yawn while scratching her head.

"It's only been roughly one hour since everyone fell asleep," Salem noted.

It took Pema a moment to process the danger that Sakura warned her about. "Is there another Chevy outside?"

[Sakura Leic]

"Seems there's twice as many as the last wave." Sakura nodded "How's your Mana level? If it's still low you might want to drink that Green Potion I gave you."

[Quickman]

The Professor, up in the hayloft, was still fast asleep.  He had his head covered and didn't react to the yelling.

((Someone will need to physically wake him up, because unless you get up close and yell at him, he's not going to hear it.))

[Sakura Leic]

(What about Riagan.)

[Phi]

"Oh right, good idea!" Pema fished around inside her hat and pulled out a Green Potion.

"You still store possessions inside your hat...?" Salem muttered.

"Sometimes, yeah." She nodded, "Most other times, I use my pockets or sleeves. I ran out of sleeve buscuits, though..." Pinching the cork and twisting it, she popped open the Green Potion bottle, then gulped it down.

[Quickman]

((Forgot about him.))

Riagan had gotten up and was hurriedly putting on his cloak and grabbing his war hammer. "So, we've got company, aye?  What are they, how many are there, and what does it take to kill them?"

[Sakura Leic]

"More Chevals, sounds like twice as many as the first wave." Calien replied "They're heading this way."

Sakura climbed up to where the Prof was while the other pigs woke up and the Spoink explained the situation.

"Prof, wake up, more Chevals are coming." Sakura stated as she started to nudge him.

[Quickman]

The Professor sat up in a daze and blinked groggily at Sakura a few times.  "What?  What's going on?  Are we being attacked?"

[Sakura Leic]

"Not yet, but trouble's heading this way.  I think Shu's Tiger Daemon Susanoo is holding them back but we need to hurry!" Sakura told him.

[Dr. Wily II]

(Now that everyone's awake...)

The second wave of Cheval Joes appeared over the horizon, and sped towards the barn, engines revving loudly. This time, the Joes riding on top were carrying metal chains, and spinning them over their heads.

[Blue Valkyrie]

"We need to hold this barn, they can't just drive through it; anyone with ranged mage hit them as you can everyone else we need to deal with the survivors!" Aya offered as the cheval joes continued to speed at them.

[Quickman]

The Professor didn't climb down from the hayloft.  Instead, he dug through his bag for his explosives, pocketed them, and went for the hatch.  Grabbing a few dusty old rags and his torch, he opened the shutters and after a cursory examination of the roof, he climbed out and onto the overhang.

The wind had shifted and was blowing in his favor.  Seeing the lights ahead and barely hearing the engines above the howling winds, he ventured toward the edge of the roof and planted himself there, using the packed snow for stability.

The Professor uncapped one of the vials, stuffed half of the rag inside of it, and then lit the other end with the torch.  Letting the flame get going, he reared back and threw a Molotov cocktail at the oncoming enemy line.

[Sapphire Knight]

Shuu was up and summoning Grani in the form of... A crossbow? That was different. And he didn't even bother putting his armor on as he groggily stumbled to the door. "I'm too stiff to fight right... I'll help shoot at 'em..." He said, aiming the shiny, silver crossbow into the storm.

[Quickman]

Riagan, lacking any ranged weaponry, stood at attention, allowing the ranged fighters to do the work.  He resisted the urge to rush out into the fight, as he wanted to see how well the party could work as a team.  The strategy of having the ranged fighters attack from a distance worked for him, but he was ready to go out and swing his war hammer at the enemy.

Looking around the barn, he wondered if he could find something to use as a ranged weapon, but could only find melee weapons, including a sizable scythe.  When the fight came to them, someone could use that as a weapon, and he had an inkling on who.

Glancing up to the hayloft, he didn't see any movement. "Where is your fae?"

[Sakura Leic]

"I think he's on the roof so he can throw his explody stuff at them!" Sakura said as she started to throw Lightning Kunai at some of the Chevals hoping to strike some vital spots.

Calien took out a silver colored metal Boomerang and enchanted it with a Wind Spell.

"I'll be honest, I just finally Mastered how to use the Wind Element and this is the first time this thing gets a field test." Calien admitted as he took aim "I hope  this works and my theory was correct.  GALE BOOMERANG!"

Calien threw the Boomerang and thanks to the Wind Element formed a mini Tornado heading straight for the Chevals.

[Dr. Wily II]

The Cheval Joes managed to deflect most of the thrown projectiles by spinning their chains in front of them. However, that failed when it came to the explosives, and tornadoes. Most were able to dodge the attacks, but 3 went down exploding. The reminder began to rev their engines, this time, the front of the Chevals began to glow, as fireballs began to fire off at the barn.

"Oh no Toshi, get those Fireballs before they get to the Barn!" Sakura cried as she tried firing off Demon Fangs at the Chevals when she saw her Kunais not cut it.

[Sapphire Knight]

Shuu was carefully taking aim. "Tch... I'm not the best shot, and this storm messes aiming up..." He grumbled, aiming his crossbow at the fireballs and pulling the trigger. Each of the bolts that fired from the crossbow shimmered brightly and bounced the fireballs they collided with back in the direction they came from. "Mirror Bolts."

Susanoo, meanwhile, was waiting patiently for the Cheval Joes to get close enough to be considered in melee range.

Riagan was getting impatient as he shifted his weight from foot to foot, gripping his war hammer.

On the roof, buffeted by the winds, the Professor made another Molotov cocktail and threw it at the Joes.  During the first explosion, he had gone back inside to grab his bag and a few more rags and items.  During his search, he procured a fuel can.

Amid the howling winds, he soaked a rag with his flame paste and uncapped the can, stuffing the rag inside.  Taking it out long enough to see that it was starting to soak up the fuel, he put it back in and took his torch to the draped end of the rag.  The rag immediately burst into flames.

With both hands and a slight spin to he step, the Professor hurled the flaming gas can at the Joes. "Incoming!"

Down in front of the barn, Riagan saw the flaming can fly overhead. "What the--?!  Your fae had better be careful, lest he burn himself and the barn down!"

(Gonna let it marinate a bit longer, see if the others want in.)
