The Mana-Verse

[Mr. Haxwell]

Surrounded by a separate pack of wolves, Toshi stood firm.

Toshi - "So this is how it's going to be." reaching into her pouch, hanging above her tail, and pulls out a short baton. "However numbers don't matter to me." she held her arm forward as the baton extends outward, forming a quarterstaff-like weapon. "Lets do this!" she shouts as the wolves all attempt to pounce on her; but not before she performed a pole-vault, launching herself into the air, out of danger.

She starts forming three hand signs snake, tiger, dog, while still in midair, before chanting the following:

Toshi - "HYOUTON: TSUBAME FUBUKI!" the air around her forms a swarm of ice swallows; darting straight for the pack, killing those instantly who got an ice swallow directly to the face, while slashing a few around their legs, grounding them in an instant.

[Blue Valkyrie]

Aya preforms a series of ground based combos with her blade slashing at the Wolves' bodies in non fatal places hoping to dissuade them from any further attacks. They real from the blows and form try to flank her from all sides before leaping back to attack.

"I'm sorry.." She turns her blade upside down and stabs it into the ground causing a small area of effect burst of magic as the wolves close in and as it passes they simply aren't there anymore. Aya turns to the others still involved in their own battles.

(Is it okay if someone gets scratched or bitten?)

((You may get poisoned.))

(I can probably deal with that, I'll write that up a bit later.  Wish we had a white mage, or maybe I should make Calien one.)

[Mr. Haxwell]

(I was thinking of giving Toshi something like this, but I'm thinking it's maybe too soon for her to know medical jutsu techniques right now. So I'd leave Sakura to that.)

[Blue Valkyrie]

((Yeah having a healer would not be a bad idea honestly.))

((Anyone else have any attacks to throw off before we wrap up?))

Seeing few of the pack of wolves, on pursuit of Toshi's landing, she immediately took a defensive stance before charging in.

Toshi - "It's useless! You can't defeat me in your current state." She yells, before twirling her staff around her like it was a propeller rotating at high speeds, slamming a couple of wolves all over the place. "This battle ends now!" as she starts picking of the grounded beasts, by slamming their heads in with the weighted end of her staff, being careful not to spill any tainted blood on her skin.

(I'll leave it at that.)

[Sakura Leic]

(Okay I think I can do something now.)

As Calien was recklessly slashing and decapitating wolves one of them managed to jump up and bite him on the arm.  With a pained grunt Calien grabbed the wolf by the neck and got it off his arm before he physically threw it into a group of wolves causing the the spine of the first wolf to snap and the other wolves to substain other crippling injuries. 

He then noticed that his arm became infected with poison and took the time to position his other hand over it.

"Oh Holy magic, purge my being of that which ails me.  Esuna!" Calien chanted.

A bright light enveloped the area of the infection and eraticated it.  With that annoyance out of the way he continued to thin out the pack further.

(Calien, bestest white mage evar?  I don't know I think that may be the most graphic scene I've written so far.)

[Sakura Leic]

(Still in the forest in front of Sakura and Calien's cabin.  The wolves should be destroyed soon.)

It didn't take the group long to take out the last remaining wolves, the area around the cabin was a mess however; their blood had corrupted the ground where ever it fell and the group was no closer to discovering the source of the infection.

Aya's blade vanished in a ball of light and re-appeared as her pendant. "What a waste." She frowned as she looked over the battle field.

[Dr. Wily II]

Shadow Master had been observing the whole fight from the safety of the canopy.

"Skills... Amatuer. Chosen one... Easy target. Next course of action... Ambush."

[Blue Valkyrie]

((Aya isn't THAT amateur? Is she?  ))

[Dr. Wily II]

(This IS Shadow Master we are talking about. Everyone else is an amateur. )

[Blue Valkyrie]

((So much ego Shadow Master, I approve!  ))

[Sakura Leic]

"Don't you worry yourself Aya, the land is pretty resilient and I'm sure everything will grow back eventually.  If not, I'm sure some Holy Water or something will fix it up." Calien shook his head. "Anyone here need to be patched up?"

In the mean time Sakura kneeled and began some sort of prayer.

"<Your Grace, I know this land is not your own but it is in desperate need of help, if there's anything you can do to help the Queen and the Elemental gods of this land please do so.  And please give us hope and strength to end this disaster before it's too late.>" Sakura chanted in her strange language.

[Fxeni]

"I'm perfectly fine here," Fxeni said as his weapon vanished. "I get the impression that that doesn't happen very often around here... we'll have to keep an eye out."

[Blue Valkyrie]

Aya glances deeper into the forest. "I think what ever did this is still in there though..." she returns to her gaze to Calien.

[Sakura Leic]

"I'm perfectly fine here," Fxeni said as his weapon vanished. "I get the impression that that doesn't happen very often around here... we'll have to keep an eye out."

"Well not here, sometimes we have to deal with Goblins and other things out there, but not like that." Sakura explained.

Aya glances deeper into the forest. "I think what ever did this is still in there though..." she returns to her gaze to Calien.

"What do you mean?" Calien asked her.

[Blue Valkyrie]

"You can't feel it? This forest is sick." Aya continues to glance deeper into the woods.

[Sakura Leic]

"Hmm yeah you may be right, we need to find a way to purify this place." Calien nodded "We better start getting everything out of the herb garden now.  Sakura get some bags for each type of herb?"

(You know like antidote herds, echo grasses, stuff for paralysis.)

"I'd like to help, if no one minds waiting her a little longer?" Aya looks to the others.
