The Mana-Verse

[Phi]

"Into the belly of the beast!" Pema pointed her staff forward.

"Although I doubt any form of beast could rival your bottomless pit of a belly, yes, onward." Salem agreed.

She giggled and proudly patted her stomach, waiting for the others.

[Sakura Leic]

"I must admit I'm very curious of why this beast has been giving the militia so much trouble." Calien stated as he followed the others.

[Blue Valkyrie]

"One thing bothers me though, this beast is slipping around the city-and no one has died. Thats kinda odd right?"

[Sakura Leic]

"That does seem weird, maybe he's looking for something?" Sakura pondered.

[Phi]

"I must admit I'm very curious of why this beast has been giving the militia so much trouble." Calien stated as he followed the others.

"Perhaps their militia are not quite as experienced as they seem?" Salem guessed.

"Or maybe they underestimated this monster's power? I hope it's that one, 'cause I could really use a fun, challenging fight, right about now!" Pema smiled and ignited her adventurer spirit.

"One thing bothers me though, this beast is slipping around the city-and no one has died. Thats kinda odd right?"

Pema's smile from a moment ago dimmed a bit. She scratched her head. "So do you think the monster never actually hurt anyone?"

[Blue Valkyrie]

"I don't know I would to have liked to at least talk to the maidens who reported the monster." Aya frowns as she approaches the cave entrance.

[Sakura Leic]

"Seems like this situation might be more complicated than we realized, and incredible suspicious at that." Calien sighed "I don't like not having the entire story."

[Blue Valkyrie]

"Well one way to find out." Aya shrugged.

[Mr. Haxwell]

Toshi - "I'm not one to be merciful here, but I get the feeling this creature isn't terrorizing the city, without reason to do so." she implied, "Maybe something... or someone is behind all of this." she wondered.

[Blue Valkyrie]

The party entered the cavern-taking a slow and carefull pace-there a few wild monsters roaming the cavern like man eating bats-and a few types of shell monster and killer plants-nothing the party couldn't handle at this point.

They soon enter a large room filled with a lot of nothing but empty space-it has however become rather cavernous and they can't quite see the ceiling anymore. Aya-and other members with more sensitive ears do begin to hear an odd sound echoing lightly above them.

"Does--anyone hear that?" Aya raises an eyebrow.

[Sakura Leic]

"Yeah I hear it loud and clear." Sakura nodded.

"It's coming from above." Calien stated.

[Blue Valkyrie]

Sakura is sure she hears a "Uwee hee hee".

[Sakura Leic]

"Okay.....that sounds a  little creepy....." Sakura gulped and got ready to pull out a Kunai.

[Phi]

"I-I don't hear anything..." Pema said, but readied her staff anyway, since Sakura and Aya were on edge.

[Blue Valkyrie]

Sakura hears the sound of something metal moving not to far from her dad's location-well rather above him.

[Mr. Haxwell]

Toshi - "Sounds like... laughter?" she said keeping her katar segment ready in-case of an ambush.

[Sakura Leic]

(Is this a trap?  Like a cage?)

[Blue Valkyrie]

(Maybe-maybe not! Either way might want to warn him of in coming falling metal objects!  )

[Sakura Leic]

(Well he has the same ears as Sakura.)

Calien heard the sound and quickly moved out of the way while drawing his Boomerang ready to throw.

[Blue Valkyrie]

The two heard a whistling sound, Calien's quick reflexes allowed him to jump out of the way as the metal object smashed into the ground where he stood--an--iron weight reading "1 ton".

[Sakura Leic]

(Looks like we're having Calamari tonight.)

Calien panted wondering what the hell is going on seeing as he was almost crushed.

Sakura stood there wide eye seeing that something dropped that weight with the intent to crush her father.

[Blue Valkyrie]

"Uheeee---don't you knooooow it's rude to arrive at someone's home uninvited?"

The voice echos from above them-Calien is able to pinpoint the source of the voice more or less if he decides to attack with his boomerang.

[Sakura Leic]

"I don't know, I think it's ruder to drop a damn weight on your guests!" Calien exclaimed as he threw an electrically charged Boomerang.

[Blue Valkyrie]

The boomerang vanishes into the darkness-followed by a wet thud and the sound of electricity "uuuuuuwaaaah!" the boomerang flys back to Calien as a form comes crashing down. The creature is a mass of tentacles with a dopey toothy grin. "D-Don't cook the octopus!" the creature screamed out pathetically.

[Mr. Haxwell]

Toshi - "On second, thought." she looked upon the creature with disgust, as if she maybe remembered it from somewhere. "Maybe mercy was not the thing I had in mind here." she charged mana to her katar, causing it to surge with electricity, as she got ready to attack.

(Kinda wish I had a fire spell here, instead of lightning, though.)
