The Mana-Verse

[Sapphire Knight]

"Yeah... But it'll be less expected to strike in the middle of the night." Shuu said, tapping his chin. "Then again, having more energy to fight would be advantageous..."

[Sakura Leic]

"I see no point if they're expecting us anyway." Sakura shrugged "Can't really surprise someone making a trap.  We just have to go in knowing it's a trap."

[Phi]

"Resting would be the wisest course of action; that much is certain. We've hardly rested since our arrival. We all need as much strength as possible," Salem stated.

"I'm with Salem!" Pema cried as she leapt and face-planted on the fur she was sleeping on.

[Sakura Leic]

"I've never seen someone literally jump into bed....." Sakura mused.

"Says the girl who climbed a really tall tree in the forest and dive bombed her father at 7 years old?" Calien quipped.

"It was totally worth it." Sakura smiled.

"My back sure didn't think so." Calien sighed.

"What can I say, I love heights.  If it wasn't snowing and this barn was in better shape I would be sleeping on top of the roof." Sakura stated.

[Sapphire Knight]

"I will keep watch." Susanoo said, moving and standing guard at the door of the barn. "My kind need less sleep, and I need no sleep to be wielded as a weapon."

Shuu sighed and yawned. "Damn, and I went to the trouble of stretching and warming up to fight." He said, shrugging. "Oh well..."

[Sakura Leic]

"Shuu may I ask you something?" Calien asked.

[Sapphire Knight]

"I will answer to the best of my abilities." Shuu replied, turning to Calien.

[Sakura Leic]

"When you channel Daemons either via summoning or turning them into Weapons does it use any of your Mana?" Calien questioned.

[Sapphire Knight]

"Yes. Daemons feed on magic." Shuu answered, nodding. "Not too much, though. Just enough to fuel themselves."

[Sakura Leic]

"That explains why you don't seem so drained compared to some of the other Magic users." Calien nodded.

[Sapphire Knight]

"Umm... That's a good question, actually." Shuu said, turning to Susanoo, who decided to come back from the door.

"We only consume enough for a single spell." The daemon explained. "So it is only a single 'cast' to wield us."

[Sakura Leic]

"So it's kind of like my Weapon Enchantment spells, usually I only need to cast it once unless it wears off or I need to switch elements.  If I use something like Demon or Ice Fang it uses a little bit of Mana too but not much, but most of my sword techniques don't use Mana so I just use one Spell until it runs out." Sakura nodded.

[Sapphire Knight]

"Close enough." Susanoo said, nodding. "Gonsol's armor and this storm have magic infused in them as well."

[Sakura Leic]

"Yup, anyone who can sense Mana can tell that." Sakura nodded as she petted the Spoink.

[Sapphire Knight]

Susanoo nodded. "My kind can feed off the magic in this storm." He said, starting back for his claimed post at the door. "I advise you try to sleep. They may send another attack if you stay up too much longer."

Shuu nodded. "Indeed. The sooner we get back to sleep, the sooner morning comes."

(Well I kind of want to have Sakura apologize to Riagan but other than that I got nothing.  I also need to update Wilypocalypse.)

((Yeah, we can move forward.  Riagan is asleep and Prof eventually fell asleep (he didn't build anything else and just konked out in a pile of junk).))

Day finally comes, the blizzard still rages but the extra light makes moving around slightly easier. Aya is confident she can retrace their steps and leads the party back toward the spot from the night before, better to plan their next attack rather than walk into the trap without a plan.

[Mr. Haxwell]

Grifter - "Hey Toshi." He appears.

Toshi - "Mmm... ?"

Grifter - "Are you prepared to take on the enemy?"

Toshi - "Why do you ask?"

Grifter - "It's confirmed that our enemy leaders, are ice manipulators. Since you're jutsu is very much water and ice based; don't you think you're at a disadvantage here?"

Toshi - "Well... there is my Ronginasu no Yari..."

Grifter - "But are you prepared to risk it? Your spear may not have the right elements to counter these guys."

Riyalie - "She does have light, as a source of heat energy..." she appeared after overhearing the two's conversation.

Grifter - "Yeah, but in this weather that spear might not absorb enough solar energy, to be powerful against them."

Toshi - "Then why don't we just rely on our fire users here." she gave a quick glance at the others "We've got plenty of firepower to melt these freaks. C'mon you're worrying too much, Grifter." she sounded confident in everyone's abilities. "Besides, I can still use my jutsu to protect those, who need it."

Grifter - "I guess you're right... but don't get too cocky. These guys might not be so easy as you claim them to be."

[Fxeni]

"I'm not particularly a fan of the fact that there's more than one Master this time," Fxeni said to the group. "It might be wise to attack from multiple directions while they're distracted. We'd need a distraction for that though..."

[Sakura Leic]

[Quickman]

Riagan wiped the snow from his face as he followed along. "Our best bet would be to use the blizzard as cover.  We can barely see and hear over these winds; think of how our opponents are dealing with it!  We stay downwind."

The Professor lagged behind the group.  He didn't bring his flamethrower, as it wasn't built very well and he had ran low on fuel oil.  Instead, he carried the broken handle of a rake.
