I think of the term Character Archetype when I hear his name hench why I think Arch rather and Ark. Besides Archie would make more sense than Ark-e as a nickname for Kit and Zeta to call him.

Just explaining my perspective really though like I said all he has to do is change his name to eliminate any would be confusion.

Character Archetype also starts with "Ark". The pronounciation of the word never changes.

Either way, yes, a name change would be good.

If it was a Spear his name could have been Lance but we already have 2 spear weilders in Wilypocalypse. Ugh anyone have an idea for a badass Scythe name and human name?

Nightblade would have been good if lack of light wasn't his litteral weakness.

Thanks for posting those links, Sakura. I got something good out of the second one.

I've updated my characters' bio, but for simplicity's sake, here's the TL;DR version:

- Character is now called "Xhai" (pronounced "Zay"). Weapon is now called "Xhaiden" (means "Beam of Cleansing Light")
- Cybernetics are now extremely heat-resistant.
- Weapon now has a stronger reason for being solar-powered. When exposed to strong, direct sunlight (middle of a desert, for example), the blade heats up to temperatures of around 1500dC/2750dF (which is hot enough to melt steel). In dark areas or when running off its core alone, its just a regular scythe. At full power he can fire the blade as a laser beam of sorts (hence the name), but has to be extremely careful around allies or buildings, as the heat given off by the blade WILL cause massive collateral damage if he's not careful.

I've been going through my notes and I think I might have gotten a little crazy with my characters.....and by that I mean I have 9 of them in total.

Even if I'm only using one or two in any given RP, that's too many, right?

Mmm, thanks for the feedback.

I generally try to write my characters so they can work in different settings (for example, Xhai is half-cyborg in sci-fi or futuristic settings, and half-golem in fantasy ones), but you're right. Thinking about it, Aaru and Leo would work better in Manaverse than Wilypocalypse. Xhai'd need some tweaks to fit, and Bell can work in either, I'd just need to alter her skillset a little.

I've got something to think about while I'm writing the bios for my remaining characters, anyway.

Newest ones are Mika & Minty, though they share a post with Bell.

Yeah... but I don't plan on having too many active at once, unless everyone is spanning the globe. It helps keep it manageable. Only the introductory post had them all, and even then only about 3 spoke more than a line.

I prefer keeping the number of characters I use to a minimum if I can help it. This is why anything that isn't Wilypocalypse I only use one.

... and most of the ones in Wilypocalypse are bound to die or be incapacitated at some point if I have my way

God danm I really like all these characters, and despite Typhon's personality being one that would normally set him off I think him and Borock-bot would be good friends due to their mutual interest in Ping Pong.

Something I neglected to mention in the bios was that both Bell and Saden's names have meanings in the same way Xhai and Aaru's do. From the information I pulled up when researching names (gotta thank you again for those links you provided a while back):

Bellona: Derived from Latin "bellare" meaning "to fight".
Valcadash: In English, the name Valcadash means - "bright, strong willed"
Saden: In German, the name Saden means - "dark hearted." I kinda-sorta alluded to this by making her main weapon a Zweihander instead of a regular sword.

Quick bios update: Added another paragraph to Leo's "Personality" section, as well as another line to Bell's "Profile" section. I've overhauled Bell's "Personality" section, too. I had a really neat idea a couple days ago, and these changes are meant to foreshadow/blatantly imply it.

Hmm? Oh, right. THOSE changes.

Xhai, Leo, Saden and Bell all have new character themes. I'd intended to give everyone a new/more fitting theme, but I'm still sifting through my rather...eclectic...music collection to find alternatives. For what it's worth, the video for Bell's new theme gives a rough idea of what she (and by extension, someone else) looks like.
