I'm watching some Linkara reruns and I just now realized, JUST NOW REALIZED that the Order is from Silent Hill.

Goddammit.

Maybe I can use that, though...

Well, that's the thing about Silent Hill. Apparently, it doesn't focus on jump scares like many other horror games; instead, it erodes at the player psychologically through the build up of fear.

So I've heard.

Was it almost exactly like yours?

I don't know.  I just know the name is the same.  The Order originally was going to have a full name, like the Order of Hastur or something.  I just never got around to resolving that, so it stayed as the Order.  I was thinking more along the lines of Rise of the Triad toward the end, whereas in the beginning, I was going for just a generalized religious order.  I didn't know what I wanted from it.
