I was away helping with moving the stuff out this house to the other one (and still moving stuff). Anything I missed?
Did Micro$oft have another crappy E3 this year?
Actually new Zelda
Actually new StarFox
Miis, Pac-Man and Palutits in Smash Bros.
Microsoft not talking about TV
Sony talking about TV
Probably some stagnant annual releases
Obligatory white people dancing, this year from Ubisoft

That's all off the top of my head.

Sakura Leic

Also a 2D and a 3D Metroid in developement and Game and Watch is in Smash.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Glad to see Other M didn't put Metroid into a coma. Nice to see Game and Watch in the new Smash Bros., too.

Thank you. I'll take a look at the other highlights...

Oh and Captain Toad got his own game, more of Yoshi's Wooly World, a sequel to Kirby's Canvas Curse for the Wii U, a Mario maker game so people people can make *coughkaizocough* levels, and a 3rd person Ink shooter party game called Splatoon that looks freaking awesome.

Did they say whether Splatoons is a retail game or digital game? It strikes me as a downloadable title, rather than a full retail game.

Sakura Leic

I think it's full retail, the trailers didn't say eShop or anything.

So for once Microsoft didn't have the most shooting, though not by much.

Nintendo was clearly the best (Palutena~ ~w~), but I also loved Microsoft for the Indie games, like Cuphead and Ori, not to mention Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, Mighty No.9 and Hyper Light Drifter will show up on their consoles too, which is a good thing. ^^

Waiting for Tokyo Game Show to see what Sony or 3rd parties can show there.

In terms of overall presentation, Nintendo's was clearly superior. The Digital Event format is clearly the way to go, because they can have so much more fun with it. Plus, what I really loved was the Treehouse stuff during the rest of the week. It was nice having the devs come on and showcase the games.

I'm really psyched for Bayonetta 2 plus the addition of the first game with all the Nintendo-themed extras packed in. I hope I can get a 3DS for Christmas this year for Smash Bros. and Pokemon.

Nintendo teases more options coming for Mario Maker.  According to Tezuka, there will definitely be more visual styles than just SMB1/NSMBU.  They are HOPING for, but have not yet confirmed, adding assets from other franchises, and a music composer similar to Mario Paint.

So we might get Kaizos of other franchises?:o

Zelda 2 style stages, here I come.

I mean, Gumas and Deathknockers throw their weapons just like Hammer Bros (like, same arcs and everything) so there's that. Hell, one of the Remix challenges in NES Remix 2 pits Link against a Hammer Bro, and it's just like fighting a Guma or Deathknocker.
