After resting up from the battle, Taylor set forth on leveling up Rehev. She was doing good, since it wasn't long before he evolved into a Pupitar, and it was only a matter of time before Tyranitar.

At Team Flora's secret HQ, Dr. Wily II had some initial batches of Mind Powder ready, and were testing them on some lab Rattatas. The results have been quite promising. Of course, all this research requires constant power, and that's where New Mauville came in. After a certain Trainer helped to clear the area, it was easy for Team Flora to quietly sneak in, even for druggie Grunts, since Wattson was still preoccupied with his Gym duties.

In Team Flora's HQ, one of Wily's assistants looked over the small sample. "Have you managed to duplicate this batch, yet? I've tried getting my Hypno to do it, but not much luck."

The assistant nodded. "Too bad you couldn't keep that Alakazam; we'd have fresh batches in no time." She shrugged and looked at the Petri dish. "But, I have an Espeon that might be able to do it."

The assistant muttered something under her breath about the "creaky old codger losing every Alakazam he has" and headed out to get her Espeon to duplicate the Mind Powder. Though, she did have her doubts, as her Espeon was a dog and possessed only a marginally-superior intelligence. Trying to get it to understand a molecular model was like trying to teach a Miltank how to Fly.

Hierophant shudders as the Emperor energy starts to billow out in a dark, almost sparking manner. He cradles the baby energy of the good soul, both to keep it calm and to use his healing powers to calm him down and keep him focused on matters other than the irritants around him.

He didn't like the idea of encouraging the evil persona to continue working on something that could control minds with a single breath, but without Tarot Skitty or others he trusted to keep the rest of the cards safe, he had little choice but to keep the persona from breaking its nerve and resorting to something far worse than verbal beatings.

As they stroll through the town, Trak spies a contest billing posted on a wall. "Hey, what's that?" Breaking off from the group, she and Runaway wandered over to take a look. "A Pokemon Contest? Huh. We don't have these in Kalos, from what I've seen..."

"It's basically a way to show your Pokemon off and it can be tricky. You need to groom your Pokemon really well and figure out what combination of moves works for the best situation. My Ninetails Kit-Kat has a Master Rank in the Beauty competitions, but I have never gotten one for the Cool, Smart, Tough or Cute categories." Sakura explained.

(Nature has nothing to do with it except in what Pokeblocks he likes or hates which helps in condition. As for his moves I say he's set for the Beauty Contest since both Charge Beam and Energy Ball are in the Beauty category and we can assume Dazzling Gleam is Beauty too. Dry Pokeblocks will raise Beauty and since his nature doesn't affect his Special Attack in anyway he won't receive bonuses or drawbacks from it.

Psychic is in the Smart category which I believe would lower the audiences excitement level but that's part of the strategy in the games because when the excitement is at it's peak the Pokemon will get bonuses for it.)

"I think Runaway could do well in the Beauty category and I know there's a few groomers in this town if you don't want me to do it." Sakura suggested.

"If you're up to it," Trak looked to Runaway, "what do you think?"

Runaway perked up at the prospect of a nice, long, warm bath and a good trim, as his fur had been looking shaggy since the incident in Rustboro. His mustache could use a comb, too, as the ends were starting to get matted. "Oui."

"His mustache gets pretty tangled up, it breaks combs and he gets funny if you tug while combing it," Trak nodded. "Usually I shampoo it and work my fingers through, but he's fussy about having his face washed, and he won't clean it himself."

I'm basing his characterization around that of a young child. Yes, he is very intelligent, but his emotional age is that of a toddler.))
