In the end, it all boils down to this:

Of course, this by no means excuses this trash of a system. But Microsoft has been cradling this disease the whole time, now it's finally showing its ugly head.

Well there will always be Halo fans. Myself among them! XD

Yeah, and Halo Games used to be playable on PCs.

Now I don't think you can, because they want people playing it on the console.

What's gamerscore?

Achievements have points on the 360. gamerscore is the total of all the points from the achievements that you achieve. Kind of like Trophy Levels on the PS3.

So it has no backwards compatibility but you can transfer your achievements?  WHAT THE [tornado fang]ing HELL IS THAT GOOD FOR!?  B(

Why? With the right parts (and if you have the money, granted this shitting box will cost about half of a decent gaming-spec PC), PCs can have more processing and graphical potential than a console.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

I'd rather have my backwards compatibility back than an Eboner. :\
At least I can still wave mine to a certain douche I know.

I'm really curious what Microsoft is going to think about the Internet Backdraft.

I don't know Microsoft very well, but chances are they might not care until the sales figures come back.

There are still loyalists who will buy it. Many, many loyalists.

I honestly don't think they give a [tornado fang].

If that's the case, let the reality of their stupid decisions hit them hard like a ton of Xbox ONEs.

Wouldn't the original Xbox be heavier?

Yeah but with all this stupid crap they're doing with it, I'm pretty sure people will chuck more Xbox ONEs at Mircosoft's door than Xbox Phats.

Now wait a sex. Does separate device mean my FIOS TV box, or a whole other new costly device??
How'd you react if it was the latter?

Protoman Blues

I'd want to hear how much the device is going to cost before I call it [tornado fang]ing garbage!

Apparently, used games will be full price.

QuoteSpeaking to us at the big event in Redmond today, Microsoft corporate vice president Phil Harrison clarified a couple of details about the system's used game policy and explained that there will be a solution for people who want to trade games with their friends.

Here's how the system works: when you buy an Xbox One game, you'll get a unique code that you enter when you install that game. You'll have to connect to the Internet in order to authorize that code, and the code can only be used once. Once you use it, that game will then be linked to your Xbox Live account. "It sits on your harddrive and you have permission to play that game as long as you'd like," Harrison said.

But what if you want to bring a game disc to a friend's house and play there? You'll have to pay a fee—and not just some sort of activation fee, but the actual price of that game—in order to use a game's code on a friend's account. Think of it like a new game, Harrison says.

"The bits that are on that disc, you can give it to your friend and they can install it on an Xbox One," he said. "They would then have to purchase the right to play that game through Xbox Live."

"They would be paying the same price we paid, or less?" we asked.

"Let's assume it's a new game, so the answer is yes, it will be the same price," Harrison said.
