I should get an eye exam and get some glasses again, some things are bugging me again.

Well I am about 4 years late on that anyway, along with the fact that I lost my glasses 2 years ago.  It's not too bad yet, it just bugs me.

I think my glasses are going on two-three years.  My current frames, anyway.  I still have my old pair and I can't see out of them, my eyesight changed that much.

And in other news, the results for the fanfic awards are in and...

My vignette didn't win.  Looking over the titles that did win, I know why.  One: I'm not using any OCs or any popular characters.  Two: It's not romantic and mushy enough (even though it was written for the Monday Mush Mania challenge).  Three: The title isn't contrived, hackneyed, or some obtuse metaphor.

I'm surprised it was even nominated, with how little a chance it had of winning anything.  Oh well.

In regards to Lasik... eh.  I'm near-sighted with an astigmatism and strabismus.  The last eye surgery I had was recession of the lateral rectus muscle, in order to prevent my right eye from drifting inward.  It didn't take, my eyes function poorly together, and I'm stuck with glasses and needing vision therapy, with the looming fact that I'll eventually go blind in my right eye from atrophy, anyway.  Fun!

In regards to smiting infidels... eh.  I haven't written any fanfiction in a long while, so it's not as if I was a prolific writer to begin with.  My writing muse has been dead for months, and I've since stopped checking for signs of life and have already dug the grave.

Granted, my fic's title was ripped right from Pink Floyd (Speak to Me/Breathe), but it just wasn't good enough to compete with the likes of "Son of Unveiled Secrets" and "Never the Whys."

Oh my god...

I just came across possibly the stupidest title I have ever seen.

I read it and I think my brain BSoDed on me.  I seriously have no words, as this one takes the cake.  This is, without a shadow of a doubt, out of all the stupid titles I have ever seen, after reading dozens and dozens and dozens of stupid titles, this one is the worst at how much it made me not only scream "NO [parasitic bomb]" but balk at just how inane it is.

Are you ready?  After stuff like "A Thing Unlooked For," "Forgotten Secrets," and "The Smallest Echo," you are in for a treat.

Ladies and gentlemen...  I give you the highest honor that I can bestow upon Tonight's Stupid TFN Fanfic Title...
