Nintendo doesn't have an online tax where I live, so yeah. I know it's a common method for some people to input a zip code that doesn't have online taxes to avoid those, so I guess that's an option if you want to go there.

I think it's according to if it's legal to tax you in the State you live, which is weird, because those laws are so the State you live in gets money, not someone else.

Well this sucks hard, my current Action Replay DS (Gen 1/v1.52) cart is too obsolete for any of the computers in my house to function. I need one of the newer ones (Gen 2/v1.60) if I'm gonna help my older brother score some event Pokemon in Pokemon Black. Which brings me to this statement...

Also, to answer your little "hope", stuff like Action Replays are basically dead, they can't circumvent Nintendo's security anymore. This applies to the old DSi AR units too, those don't work in a 3DS anymore.

This must be a new thing. Mine doesn't work on the 3DS anymore (It used to) so they must've updated the firmware to get through finally.

Of course this means nothing to somebody with a shitty device with a cable that barely works so oh well, I've got two other DSes lying around so those work fine.

I used AR to get some event Pokemon I missed in Platinum and vowed never to use it again. I can't shake the dirty feeling that I get after using it.

It's a shame that I can't add any codes for Pokemon Black because of my current AR cart is obsolete. It still functional and I can manually input codes for games supported on v1.52 (which is a pain in the ass if it's a redonkulous set of codes like getting "x999/99 of all [category] items" in Pokemon D/P), but I can't do anything more with it.

So far I've only used Action Replay to unlock the Elite Beat Agent characters for Ouendan 2 since I don't live in Japan, and the usual means of unlocking them had since been disabled.

Stuff like this is pretty much the reason I got an Action Replay to unlock Arceus, Shaymin, and Darkrai in Pokemon D/P. Then I discovered codes that lets you re-battle any legendary, so I can get multiple "legit" legendaries (as in finding them in their usual places) without having to nuke my save file.

Best I know of is easy mode difficulties, and people complaining that they simply exist.

I for one would like to complain about games not allowing you to complete the entire game without playing on the hardest difficulty possible. THAT is bullshit.

The Destiny Knot mechanic in X and Y.  He said Black and White was the greatest disappointment in the series, though I can understand why.  He also likes Dragon Quests Monsters over Pokemon which is kind of neat.  Then he dissed Aerodactyl when he only remembered the Gen 1 Aerodactyl.  So all in all a strange guy sorta.
