Well... that's how much the 5 would've gone for this year anyway. Just like how last year when I got my phone it was $200 with a plan, while the 4S was $100 and the 4 was free.

According to my mom it's pretty much a melting pot with Asians, Middle Easterns and African Americans and so on.  My dad, who was raised to be a racist, is annoyed by this.

I'm not going to even try to pursue this topic any longer, because it might result in some horrible discussion which will damage our entire universe by summoning the elder gods and space vampires riding on artificial dinosaurs who breath fire.

So yeah. I've been thinking of starting some kind of fun not really dramatic RP lately. But seeing as the RP's here are kinda diwndling in popularity, I'm kinda not sure if it would stick.

Who's interested in a fantasy themed RP, with some plot, but nothing majorly serious or drama-filled?

Yeah I suppose I could, I've been wanting to stretch my Pokemon muscles for a while.  But I think I'll wait until X and Y come out so we have as many Pokemon and moves to choose from.

Also, how would we run the RP?  Stat sheets, plus dice might be a way to go.  For a straight-up battle, there are too many variables to just use prose.  At least some sort of bare-bones system would be helpful to keep track of who hits what and how hard.

Yeah making it Dice Based would be a good idea, this way it'll rely on luck and I don't Mary Sue everything.

That's what also was holding me back on posting the Mario Party RP.  I have the story thought out, I just couldn't figure out how to make dice-throwing and mini-game choosing work.

I figure the mini-games would be a series of one-shot per "board" since no one would want to RP through the same scenario more than twice.

A simple system would be to have values assigned to moves, and if a move is used against a weakness, then the defending Pokemon would need to roll against that weakness and determine how well they defended against that move.  So, basically, we'd need to write up simple character stat sheets, with basic Pokemon stats and values.  It could be a d6 system, but a d20 system might work better for all the variables we'd be dealing with.

Well that's simple since the moves already have attack values.   Another thing is you need to set up Natures, where your Effort Values go and the Pokemon's Individual Values.   You can look up all those on Bulbapedia.

Some of those may be eliminated for the sake of an easier RP system.  This would be Pokemon Lite, the d20 version.  Values would correspond to a d20, and since this is just battling, then that's really all that needs to be focused on.

Well IV are plain BS so we can say every single Pokemon has 31 IV points in every single stats and I guess we can pretend EV's don't exist.  Natures on the other hand I think should be a part of it, they increase certain stats and decrease others.

Also each Pokemon has different base stats like how a Blissey has stupid high Defense while and Absol has great Attack but the rest of it's stats are pretty mediocre.  There's also equipable items that have different effects and Same Type Attack Bonuses (STAB) in which if the attack used is the same type as the Pokemon using it it'll be more powerful.

Each Pokemon also has an Ability that effects certain things, Salamence has Intimidate which cuts a Pokemon's Attack in half when it's sent out while most Legendaries have Pressure which makes the opposing Pokemon use 2 PP instead of one for each attack.

Also I think Legendaries should not be allowed.

Yeah there may be a system out there all ready, I know there's a Pokemon Battle Simulator that you can input the values in so there must be something similar in place.
