Posted on: May 24, 2013, 12:25:15 AMAlright, I did a quick search for the error, and then checked the error log.  What I'm seeing mostly are database errors that occur when the MySQL doesn't have any free disk space to write to, which either occurs because there's not enough space, or the daily quota limit was exceeded.  With the prevalence of bots, I suspect the latter.  I'm still looking...

Bot behavior generally consists of clicking every single link that they come across, which is why you'll often see them printing topics or trying other actions.  Quite often, well-behaved Google bots will attempt to log in, simply because the link to do so is there.

I'll check the error log again and if I notice an overwhelming spike in suspicious activity indicative of an attack, I'll go on the hunt for some mods to thwart it.  Already found one that will discourage bot registrations, and I can hunt down another that will deter bots from attempting to log in.

Might soon call for a time skip.  I'd need to either check a map, or draw a map, because depending on which locale is closest and if the trip to there is uneventful, we may be able to just skip it.  A simple "it took the group several days to reach [location]," would work.

This is borrowing a bit from DnD, in which the DM inserts a time passed into play, so the campaign doesn't have to linger on what could amount to being a very dull and uneventful journey.
