I just watched an episode of Scrubs that seems relevant. In it Turk and JD's college friend Spence comes to town so they hang out with him, complaining about work the whole time. They end up being called in after drinking a few beers and Dr. Cox tells them to go home, so when they go to confront Spence about it blaming him for them going into work drunk (claiming that he shouldn't have let them go) he points out that they didn't have to hang out. When he has work he doesn't ditch it to hang out with them.

I'm not saying it's not your friend's fault, but perhaps not all the blame lies with them...

So, let me get this straight.

You ditched work to hang out with someone.

I'm now curious as to the circumstances that necessitated this.  Was the person someone you haven't seen in a long time?  Was there an event you were going to that was only occurring that particular day?  Was there no other way to spend time with this person, as this was their last day before they were deployed or something?

I bolded the correct parts.
It was their last day of leave they were available.

But you know what? Its fine.
I don't care. They decided not to tell me this back in August when it happened and waited till AFTER I came back from a vacation to break the news. They clearly didn't care either.

I'm going to look for a new job, and if nothing comes of that, well that's just fine. I'll make the problem go away in one way or another.

I've played a bit of Arkham City, I might get it on Wii U if I get one since I heard it has the least game-breaking bugs of the console versions instead of getting it on Xbox 360.
