They're 3DS games, therefore they have to preview/review them at some point. It's their job. That's what makes it so bad.
That felt more like a personal blog post, rather than a professional preview. You don't childishly whine and ridicule a game because you don't like the concept; especially since they haven't even played the game yet.
It's an official magazine and publishing is their job; it should stay level-headed and professional. Otherwise, they just sound like your average internet troll.
Also, I found it amusing that one of the criticisms is that the game isn't "deep", when it's a freaking Nintendo magazine. I never knew that Mario games were psychological masterpieces.
