Found them out: it was Shadow Tower on issue 2.4 (and it was also made by From Software, so I wasn't too off with my King's Field hunch), and the other was Tsumu on issue 3.2. Thanks.

Glad you figured it out. My best guess was gonna be Sega Ages 2500 Vol 1.

Surprisingly my mom is okay with turning the Library room into a game room and my brother buying SNES and N64 gmaes on eBay.  Also my dad relented about putting wood in the library room as long as it's a lighter shade.

Bah.  I wanted to name my new Drowzee Hziulquoigmnzhah, but it wouldn't fit.

So apparently my brother thinks that Final Fantasy Mystic Quest sucks.   I personally don't agree with that. :\

I have a Dragon Claw I'd like to sell you.

Quickman

Eh, it doesn't suck, but I didn't particularly like it.  It had some okay elements, and from what I remember, it wasn't too terrible, but it was rather blah and frustrating at times.  It wasn't utter crap, but it wasn't necessarily all that good, either.  Just... meh.

I watched a review of that by Happy Video Game Nerd. As flawed as he as said it was, he admits thats he likes the game too for some of the things it does right (no random encounters, a more simplified take on the genre, doesn't require an 80-hour commitment, among other things). I might want to try it out. Other games I could probably compare it to in terms of gameplay is Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World.

Quickman

"You played with Hypno a lot!  Found a Dangerous Smoke Cushion!"

Uh huh...

Try Lufia II.

I want an Impish Drowzee, so Kaman-Thah the Impish Abra will get an Everstone and he'll breed with Kadath, the female Hypno (she evolved today) from some Hypno/Ditto action.  So, Hypno's Abra son will breed with his Hypno daughter.  PERFECT

Pokemon husbandry is kind of squicky.

Police Girl

Goodness me its like i'm in the pokemon thread again.

I love NESbox sometimes, except for when they changed the fullscreen mode from crisp looking to blurry as [tornado fang], and when they decided that moving your mouse cursor to the top of the screen to get it out of the way warranted a "nesbox.com is now in fullscreen. Press Esc to exit." every [tornado fang]ing time.

but hey I played and beat M.C Kids so yeah, it wasn't great but some of that music was just [tornado fang]ing killer.

Can't help it, have Pokemon in the brain. 8U

Put something else in the brain then, like jelly or custard, or maybe hot sauce if you're feeling crazy.

Pokemon is not a good filling for brain.

Quickman

By the time I'm done with this breeding, Hypno's family portrait is going to look weeeeeeiiiiiiirrrrrrd.

Anywho, new subject!

I need to finish reading Shadow Over Innsmouth.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Quickman

That Snickers bar I bought for TFN came in handy.  Any time I see anyone getting uppity in the Literature (Lit) forum over something petty and trivial, I'll pull out the Official Lit Snickers.

LOL

Typing up my Hypnoker origins post. It's gonna take a while...

I guess I'm going to have to find a new chair since my brother wants to use the cool chair for the future game room.

Went to school, had a meeting with my sexy student manager, and now I'm on my way back home.

Man I have another weird idea for Wilypocalyse that involves giving PB another Pokemon. :\
