You draw spells from enemies and also from various Draw points around the world. You stock up on spells this way and can also use them when Junctioning with a Guardian Force (summon) to boost their stats, or use them to boost your own stats.

It's a very interesting system. Also to get some GFs you need to Draw them from certain bosses.

The Junction system would have benefited from a different method of getting the spells in my opinion, rather than just stocking them.

Use Draw to get a spell then it takes a certain number of turns (the character can't do anything during this period, maybe a reversed ATB gauge?) to learn the spell permanently, and keep the classic MP for casting. It would cut down on the grinding although they would need to change how spells affect stats I guess, eh.

Oh my. That last GG episode of Night Trap made me laugh so hard, I nearly choked. Having the Grumps act out that last bit was amazing. Even their cat's like, "What the [tornado fang] is wrong with you people!?".

Fear me.

Quickman

Just finished my shoveling.  Thankfully, the temperature is relatively mild.  Ended up working up a good sweat.

I think Wild Arms 2's Magic system was very good. Though, I generally don't like magic users in most games since MP is a scarce resource, and Magic Users tend to only be competent at battle when they can cast magic. In Wild Arms 2, you have a meter that builds as you battle, and you start with the percentage that is your level. So, if a spell costs 12 to cast and you are level 10, you have 10 meter and by the next turn you can cast. If your level is 12, you can cast those spells on turn 1. And there are magic users that collect catalysts to bind spells to, and one(s) that learn from enemies, and one(s) that learn them by using certain equipment items for a period of time.

Well it was way too easy to become OP with the way Junctioning works currently, if you just draw enough of the right spells.

True enough, I think most people's issues came with how long it took to draw 99 of each spell. Although there was other ways to get a good stock of spells if you made use of the card to spell skills.

I just think they made a system that's like the ones in 2, 6 and 7 but made it needlessly complicated and tedious.  If magic worked like 6 and 7 I wouldn't mind it so much but I just see it as grinding while in the battle.

It's just so boring to me.

Of course when I want to go switch my laundry to the dryer, that's when Mabel decides that it's lap nap time.

Whoo, my last class was cancelled today!

6 and 7 weren't to much better honestly, it took a lot to level Espers and Materia up. I personally liked 9 the best for character customization.

Mirby

Yeah I really enjoyed 9's system as well.

Just finished shoveling [parasitic bomb] not too long ago. Really in the mood to play some Strider 2, Genocide 2, or Z.O.E 2nd Runner...

Phi, can I have some of your ecastasy pills (or as I as call it, the "yeah pill")?

Quickman

I need to go get my laundry, but Mabel decided once again that it's lap nap time.

I let Snowball explore my room more often since I'm curious about what she thinks about wood floors since we never had them before, as well as the fact that my room is clean.  I still don't know what she thinks but she does like my new bed I think.

Mabel is on my lap and we're watching Ren & Stimpy.

And Wily, I know you.  I know your tricks.  Don't be looking into my weird dreams just to find new ways to get to Runaway. B(

So I found out my Aunt Maureen is a manager of Old Navy, since I need her help for an assignment.  It's interesting to say the least.

I still have no idea if Quickie was originally a robot or human, and if she was a robot how PB and Quickie have sex.
