Yeah, it's been discussed on TFN. Leland Chee, who oversees canon, is heading the group, and he knows how much canon means to us (met him in person at Lucasfilm, got to see the Holocron), so we trust he'll do the right thing. With George out of the way, he has freer rein over things, so rather than backpedaling as much as he was before, he'll be able to actually put together something that will satisfy more people.
The problem before was he was only damage control. George contradicts something in canon, and it's Chee's job to clean up the mess. The most he was able to do was say that George's way is the new way. Overseeing canon was too big of a job for one person, and when things got screwed up at the top, it trickled down into Wookieepedia and we had another mess to deal with.
Right now, the best thing to do is take a wait-and-see approach. We can't be jumping to conclusions yet, as it's far too early. In my opinion, a committee was a good move. You'll have more people keeping track of more areas of the GFFA and they can pull out any canon contradictions much quicker.
