In all fairness, Blu-Ray wasn't the "definitive" disc format when the PS3 came out.  There was that long and bloody format war to decide that after the point.

Granted, but it was still a selling point once the format was decided upon and many people bought one to have what was arguably the best Blu-Ray player on the market.

Heh.  I don't know, though.  I wasn't really wowed by Sony's hype-train.  We'll see what the console actually launches with... also, I'm not too sure what they're up to re: used games, considering there was a lot of hushed whispering between the execs and the PR team when they were interviewed about it.

ps4 is going to be a easier system to develop games on now, so there won't be any issues in porting and expect lots of great games on it.

Sony is bringing what we all want....games, its all about the games mostly like everyone says.

If you've got a PSVita and are in the US, you can download 4 games for free as a present for keeping the Vita afloat for a year.

The games are:

-Wild ARMs (PSOne Classic)
-Patapon
-Piyotama
-Patchwork Heroes

Not exactly a great selection, but I hear Wild ARMs and Patapon are okay at least. And even if you don't own a Vita, you can get the games if you have the Media Go Application on your PC.

Wild ARMs is legendary, specially the amazing music, and if you want, you can perform an item duplication trick to make the game easier.

Sqaure has been stalling with Versus XIII long enough, and I have a suspicion that it's been pushed to the PS4.

I haven't been excited for a new system since the PS2, Only other time was the SNES.

Only time I was kinda let down was the N64, but I think Mega Man and other random games made up for it it...I guess.

In truth, the first system I played was a NES (my dad's), but my first real system was the SNES. Super Mario World, DKC2, Link to the Past, and Super Mario All Stars. Man. Purple on heather gray, living in the trailer park in hot summer with the AC on full blast. Takes me back man.

But uh, oh yeah, new systems suck for the most part.
