You have not played DPPt or Gen 5.

I can attest to the diffculty level of Gen IV and V. 

I just want the gym leaders to have better strategies.

EDIT: So I decided to replace X-Wing the Fearow with Overdrive (Ostrich) the Doduo since I've always wanted to use a Doduo and Dodrios and Fearows being ridiculously similar while Dodrios get Tri Attack, so I can have something before I get Hyper Beam.

I hate the Gen 1 Safari Zone, just [tornado fang] that place.  I was able to get Surf and the Gold Teeth on my first run but I only caught a Ryhorn.

I found a Female Nidoran, Paras, and Doduo, which I already caught before, and the Exeggcutes kept running away.  There was Parasect too but that also ran away.

EDIT: Second trip I got that Exeggcute and the rest of the items, 3rd trips I got a Nidorina and Venonat.  I also found an Pinsir and Kangaskhan during those trips but you can guess what happened.

EDIT 2: So it seems that I need 120,000 Poke Dollars in order to get Hyper Beam for my Dodrio if I just buy the coins.  I have over 95,000 right now, and the slots suck, but I'm still not sure if it would be worth it.

I'm turn between Red and Yellow right now. I like Yellow a lot because Pikachu is one of my favorite Pokemon, but I also enjoy getting all the starters. But I played the [parasitic bomb] out of Red back in the day. Red got me through my back surgery when I was a kid. Huge nostalgia points for Red.

I am low on cash is I cannot really buy anything however I do have other.....'means' of playing the game. It may not be the same as having on my 3DS but it is still good game. I wonder if there is a glitch where you  could copy items such as rare candy. Does anyone know it?

You could use the Missingno glitch, pretty famous. Basically, get the old man in Viridian City to show you his tutorial, then fly to Cinnabar Island and surf the coast until you find MISSINGNO. or 'M. After that, just run, and the sixth item in your inventory will be multiplied to 128 I think. Though your hall of frame data will get corrupted permanently, so if that's a problem, don't do it.

No, just finding one is enough. I think catching actually causes more problems in some cases, since getting it into battle will corrupt all battle sprites until you open a Pokemon's stats menu. Maybe it doesn't last when saving and resetting, but I'm not sure about that.

Yep, just encountering Missingno. will duplicate the 6th Item Slot.

I think if you do it before beating the Elite Four, the Hall of Fame data won't be corrupted.

Hmm if that's the case maybe I'll try to get those near infinite Master Balls. 

Also I got Hyper Beam, turns out I just needed 5,500 coins instead of 7,500 coins, I got confused with the GSC amount but at least I still have plenty of cash. 

I also got a Dratini in the Safari Zone, I at least got all the Water Pokemon I could catch.  But seriously I hate those Safari Balls.

The only one I'd probably use that for would have been Body Slam, but it's too late.

Missingno-duplicated TMs was such a godsend, back before they had the sense to make them re-usable.  There are all too many Gen1 'mans who darn near require TM use to be viable.  Not to mention the Petit Cup for Yellow/Stadium players.
