Nah Hypnosis works on Dark Types, it's just the accuracy kind of sucks.

For the next time I recommend raising a Shroomish until Level 45 before evolving so it can learn Stun Spore and the almighty 100% Sleep inducing move Spore. Also give your Gardevoir or something Thunder Wave to cover all bases since Grass are imune to Powders but I don't know if Spore counts.

EDIT: Yeah Grass types are immune to Spore.

I intend to just chuck Quick Balls. Though, I do have three Master Balls, so if I see a shiny Abra, I'll just chuck a Master Ball. Guaranteed tear-free capture.

Oh better yet bring a Pokemon with Arena Trap or Shadow Tag abilities. That will prevent it from teleporting.

It really is the source of all evil. I was losing my mind when shiny breeding. It took me so long because I had to take breaks between breeding runs because I was going to crack.

And then I got so discouraged and so depressed that I was afraid that when I did hatch a shiny, that I'd be like "meh" and not care.

And to think I went through that FOUR times, although 2 of them were pretty "painless" (hatching a shiny within 3 digit numbers).
And currently on my 5th (hopefully "painless") run now.

I guess I'm just a sucker for self-inflicted pain, and misery.
or I really turned mad from all dem hatching.

I'm glad my first baby shiny was hatched to much fanfare.

And my first horde chain shiny was pretty exciting. Easy, too! I think I went through at most twenty hordes, though I wasn't counting. I had to replenish my Hypno's Dazzling Gleam twice, and knowing the amount of PP I had left each time, plus the amount of PP from the horde prior to the shiny horde... 23 hordes.

So I have Horde shinies... Hatched shinies... Fishing (but not chain fishing) shinies... Wild shinies...

Only DexNav shinies, and PokeRadar shinies left to hunt!
