There was also one episode I heard about where Litwicks tried to drag everyone to the Underworld, which is actually kind of accurate considering the Pokedex entries.

Him resetting his team is a given at this point, otherwise they'd just find lame excuses to write them off like they did in Johto so they can replace them with newer ones.

If we're lucky he'll actually use his old Pokemon in the League.

Well his Cyndaquil did evolve into a Quilava during the Sinnoh League so that's kind of something.

And yeah, I can understand the resetting the team thing. I just found it funny how he regained one of his original Pokemon, only to dump it back at Oak's place again.

I must admit I am a little surprised they didn't make him keep Charizard, they did hype up the Kanto starters quite a lot for this gen so they had a good enough reason for it.

Plus, like you said, if they're bringing the Mega Evolutions into the anime, then it'd only make sense for him to keep Charizard for that purpose.

Who knows? If they timed it with the release of ORAS or something they could always go for Sceptile.

Yeah some Pokemon episodes can be disturbing sometimes, the Team Plasma ones made Corless invention that controls Pokemon in Black and White 2 [tornado fang]ing disturbing, and let's not forget Hunter J and Cyrus are probably dead after the events of Team Galactic.

There was also an episode where Electric type Pokemon and Water type Pokemon were attracted to each other because a scientist wanted to get a Magnemite and Quagsire to become friends. That was the episode where Piplup and Pikachu had their Bromance despite both being male. The scientist claimed that it works on Pokemon regardless of gender and Brock theorized that the reason it didn't work on the Quagsire and Magnemite was because they are dual types, but I think it's because Magnemite has no gender and Cryogonal didn't exist yet.

It's very Damsel in Distress until you get to Eldritch Horror. With the montage of frilly dress-up, and Diancie's chronic whimsy, it also seems rather—for lack of a better term—girly. Like Disney Princess girly.

I was getting disinterested with the "tea party princess dress-up shopping spree" and Diancie being a damsel in constant distress (she can't go out and take a sparkle dump behind a tree without someone trying to kidnap her), but then Yveltal caused all hell to break loose, and I was interested again.

Eh, I may grab it when it hits DVD. Put that on my watch list with Genesect and the Legend Awakened, which I haven't watched yet.
