I currently have the perfect, Electrike, Torchic, Absol, Aron, Mareep, and Houndour!

Working on the perfect Charmander for my Y game, which will be special attack based.

Sadly I still need more Pokemon with hidden abilities. Seriously, DAT Protean Greninja, Adaptability Dragalge, and HOT DAMN SPEED BOOST BUFFED SCOLIPEDE!

EDIT: Just caught up on the last couple pages of conversations and felt compelled to address Barbaracle. He may look odd, but look at his stats and moveset. He's a MOTHERFREAKING Carracosta on steroids!

I fought one of my buddies who had a brilliant Barbaracle. You'd be surprised how quickly your opinion on a Pokemon changes when you face up against a Barbaracle with Shell Smash, an ability that boosts all physical moves by 50% and the moveset of the goddamn Avatar.

Oh, I'm not denying its move set, or potential.  The one I faced in the Elite Four was something of a beast, gave me more of a challenge than the rest.  And if I raised my Binacle, I'd no doubt love how much punishment it dishes out.

It still doesn't change the fact that I think it's ugly as sin.

There are a number of Pokemon that I dislike their designs for some reason or another.  I never really cared for Steelix's underbite lantern jaw.  I still love my Steelix, because she's a hit sponge and a fairy-killer.  I didn't like Lucario because he took Mewtwo's spot in SSBB, and his poofy shorts and chest spike look goofy.  However, I love Pavorotti and I never want to take him off my team.

I can separate design from potential if the potential is good.  Just because I hate the design doesn't mean I hate the potential.

Ability Capsule... a capsule that allows a Pokemon with two Abilities to switch between these Abilities when it is used.
Cost 200BP, that's quite a lot of saving there.

Does this include Hidden Abilities too?

I've had friends get Impostor Dittos from my Safari even though I'm never online with my 3DS. It apparently unlocks with the third Pokemon in that Safari.

Okay I couldn't stand waiting to see what all the talk is all about, so I decided to go ahead and downloaded both X Y games from the eShop on to my 3DS. Don't ask why.

Starting with X version.

Playing a little over 30 minutes of this game this is my experience so far. (As last Pokemon game I've ever actually finished was long ago.)

- Not all scenes are in 3D. Certain ones like pokemon battles are in 3D.
- I hate coming up with a trainer name, let alone another nick name of myself. I usually take about 5-10 minutes just to decide for both type of names.
- I thought for some reason you are given two pokemon starters in this game instead of one. One from the new Kalos region, and another from the old Kanto region. Did I read wrong somewhere?

- Starting off with a Froakie.
- Caught a pidgey before the pokemon capture introduction (bah, like someone of my intelligence would need this, cause I don't.)
- Caught a scatterbug. I can't remember, is this the first form pokemon that eventually evolves into that #666 butterfly with the regional wing designs?
- Caught a green Pansage Lvl 4.
- Tried the mystery Gift. Says I got the Torchic, but I guess I have to venture forth a bit to the pokemon center to obtain it.

I am currently going to try to catch a Butterfree, err.... I mean a pokemon that eventually evolves into it. Also going to try to catch a Pikachu sometime whenever.

Also, having trouble viewing what my Amie (food, love, music) stats are for pokemon. So yea, i'm still pretty new at this.

You will get your Kanto starter at Lumiose City after you battle Prof Sycamore. Lumiose is after the first gym at Santalure.

Yes, Scatterbug evolves into Vivillon.

Butterfree comes from Caterpie, found in route 2 & Santalure Forest. Pikachu is found in the forest too, but is rare.

You can get the Torchic in the Pokemon Center at Santalure. The female attendant to your left at the main counter.

Amie. Bah, Amie. Once you click on your main, there should be a button with 2 arrows, iirc. You switch the Amie Pokemon there, and can sees the stats there too.

Went on a capture spree, getting repeats and ones I didn't have.  I switched Runaway to the front, and the very next wild encounter was an Abra.  Thanks, Runaway!  I caught three more Abras tonight, including another female.  Her name is Miss Cleo.

Caught a Miltank, too.  Watching those bouncing udders and then Miltank using Milk Drink brought a very... disturbing image to my mind...
