Huh I thought the Red design looked weird in the pictures because of the angle and didn't like it, but when I saw the trailer with more angles I actually like it.

You know as I look at the character art for the protagonists in X and Y I noticed the jewel on those giant black bracelets has a symbol that looks similar to the Mega-Evolution symbol that shows up when you Mega-Evolve them. Maybe the bracelet has something to do with Mega-Evolution?

We at least know that Sylveon is at least a Special Defensive Tank since it took a STAB, Rain Dance, and Life Orb boosted Hydro Pump to the face and was still kicking in yellow. And since it can drain HP that makes it very deadly.

I half expected the cries to have changed over the years. In Pokemon World Online, it's a huge mix of Pokemon cries, some old, digitized noise from Gens I, II, and III, mixed with Lilipup's clear-as-day bark. It's jarring.

Yeah whenever I hear Pikachu's old Static sound in the other games I usually fine it sounds very odd.

I find it really odd when they do the old digitized sound effect in the more recent games when Yellow managed to have the little Pikachu voice sound really good for the time.

I think it was because back then the Pikachu voice took a lot of [tornado fang]ing memory too back then, kind of like the Sega jingle having the most amount of memory in the old Sonic games. Also my friend was slightly crushed when he saw that Malimar might be very fragile.

The cries have been digital soundboard noises for years. The reason because the game originated on a GB cart, which had limited sound capabilities. It's 2013 now. We have new technology now to have actual voice overs for pokemon battle cries. Can't they change it for something else if not Anime cries?

For any talking Pokemon, they could just do grunts, like Mewtwo used in Melee. That worked out fine. But for the rest, splicing in sound bites from the anime sounds viable, or just throw in a varied range of grunts. Grunts work for anything.

Man, that's gonna be tough. I probably should go the Vixy route with Fennekin & Squirtle, especially since Mega Blastoise looks AH-MAAAAAAAZING. But we'll see.

Don't forget the downloadable Torchic. You could have 3 fire types.

Fennekin may look cool, but I'm going to use the Torchic as my fire guy. I'll likely pick Chespin for my Gen VI starter just cause he knows Rollout and that move is gdlk. That leaves Squirtle for Gen I.

If the could app is free for a limited time, that's all I'll need. I'll just put all of my Pokemon there and port them over. But I wonder how they determine a Pokemon is hacked. Cause I do have some obtained by dubious means, but most of them do have legit IDs. Like the Arceus I have is fateful encounter, but I'm pretty sure it was created that way and not gotten from Nintendo. The only thing I don't have "legit" is Kyogre.

Technically related but you can get Shiny Gen IV Legendaries via gamestop for the coming month.

Dialga is available now, Palkia is available after the 8th, and Giratina is sometime later this month.
