I volunteered to watch my niece and nephew at karate while my sis-in-law took the other nephew to basketball practice.  So, I played Pokemon and got five more eggs.

Haven't hatched them, yet, but I got five more.

Speaking of character redesigns, anyone else used to think that Brendan's hat was hair? I did. I thought he just wore a headband for years until ORAS came out.

At first I thought it was hair, but then around the time Emerald came out and a few years later when I read Pokemone Special I realized it was just the goofiest hat ever.

Early official art didn't help either.

The thing with the Emerald one is that it's actually a bit clearer it's not hair because you can see a bit of black hair close to his ear and the head band is more defined as part of a hat.

However what I don't understand is the shorts over pants in Emerald, why?!

Maybe it was a fad in Japan at the time? I dunno, I kinda prefer the Emerald design over the others. The shorts over the pants bit is a bit weird, but I just come to expect that the character design for Pokemon is going to be weird.

I agree I like the Emerald design the best, but the pants and shorts thing is beyond weird to me.  It's in WTF territory there.

What's really weird is ORAS Brendan's shoe situation. They're doofy clown shoes and he isn't wearing any socks. That's pretty weird too.

Eh that's not too weird, I assume that they are just poorly drawn athletic shoes and he just didn't want get his socks wet, I'm sure the no socks thing is actually kind of common place in some places. I think I've seen it myself sometimes since I live in Cali.

Besides, his shoes aren't nearly as clown like as Sora's.
