I'm at the Elite Four now... I'm about to beat them. I got three Pokemon over LV70 and it's the three Starters in their Final Evolution, Blaziken, Yveltal, and Druddigon. I think I'm ready to take them down.

As long as you got a bunch of Full Restores, you should be fine I think. When I did it all my mons were 80 or above and I had no problem at all. Just log on when you're done.

Well, Ruri beat me AGAIN, but that was probably the closest battle ever.  That one came down to, like, the last 10 HP...

Speaking of which, random damage variance totally bit Ragnell (by Doublade) in the ass.  Tonight just isn't my lucky night.  Before that battle, some random person froze my Charizard on the turn he was about to KO a Mega Mewtwo Y.

The good news is that I figured out that Team Flare's theme is Battle Music 6, so at least I lost with style.

I hate to fight you in a Pokemon Battle!

It's kinda of a shame that there's no in-game Trainer that uses such deadly combinations in battles to make the Pokemon Battles really challenging. I remember the old days of Red and Blue, my Charmander and I lost against Brock and Misty so many times until I finally beat them and it was totally satisfying, unlike today where it's super easy to beat the first and second gym without too much trouble.

Well to be fair for the first gym, unless you picked the right type-advantage Starter Pokemon (Bulbasaur and Squirtle), there no other Pokemon that had a type advantage against the Rock Pokemon (Pikachu is the only early Electric-Type Pokemon and a rare one, the Bug Pokemon, Pidgey and Rattata, Nidoran M/F) making it quite the challenge.

Those were the days...

Misty was satisfying to beat, but she really was overkill.  Starmie is an endgame-viable Pokemon at a higher level than you're able to control without the Cascade Badge.

Oh god... that Starmie was a PAIN in the butt to kick! Doesn't help that Pokemon over LV20 by this point won't listen to you meaning you have to be underlevel to beat her team. A Pikachu really comes in handy at this point.

And just beat the Elite Four and Champion and watching the credits... honestly Gary/Green/Blue and Cynthia were the only truly strongest and most difficult Pokemon Champions to fight. Kinda miss that level of challenge from the Pokemon Champion Battles.

Nope... I remember my Charmeleon being LV21 and it STOPPED obeying my commands, it was my Pokemon not a traded one, so it became even more of a pain to fight with a disobeying Pokemon that is yours making the fight even harder as you can't overlevel your Pokemon.

I agreed, felt like something was missing.

I'm not sure about Fire Red and Leaf Green, but in the original Red and Blue/Green versions before getting your second Badge Pokemon only up to LV20 will obey you and over that before the second Badge, traded or not (as the wikia says), the Pokemon will sometimes not obey you which happened to me in the past.

I think the rule of thumb was that Pokemon you caught yourself obeyed you ten levels higher than whatever the highest guarantee of your badges is.  However, the Cascade Badge is the first such badge; Boulder Badge has no effect on obedience.  And yes, Pokemon you caught yourself disobey you above Level 20 if you don't have it.  I can only assume that means traded Pokemon cease obeying above Level 10, but I never did test that.

I think I have a good bunch for my Friend Safari for other people, but I kinda wish I got Magmar for Slot 1 at least. It's random, right? For the Type and Slots for the Pokemon for each person?

I had 18 Eevees, but I picked 8 of them and evolved them to every eeveelution with my own efforts. I have 10 Eevees left.

Oh? Eevee was at Route 10? I have yet to check the Friend Safari (Who had Normal again?) to see if I could grab an Eevee there. Also in my guide book it mentions you can get an Eevee from a Maid at one of the Pokemon Hotels (which she randomly appears) and will trade any Pokemon for it.

Well I'm off for Eevee hunting! Wish me luck! Oh and I need to snag an Abra too now that I have Quick Balls now.

Check the yellow flowers, there's a higher chance of finding Eevee's there.

EDIT:I made a self imposed challenge to see if I could find an Eevee before my next Egg hatched and I just found one.

Wasn't expecting that, was going to look for Eevee in the Yellow Flowers and my screen shined and there he was. I didn't think I would encountered one of the Legendary Bird Pokemon so soon (love the remix theme for the the Legendary Bird Pokemon from Red and Blue!).

Is it random like with the other past Legendaries like Entei?

And found Eevee on my third encountered, I shall catch him and call him "Fable". Just having LV70+ Pokemon make this hard... perhaps my newly acquired Snubbull could help?
