(Is there a way for it to be damaged beyond repair, no offense but I think that thing is way too powerful and doesn't really fit in the story as a weapon to use in battle.)

(I also came up with another alternative if you want to use it. Instead of warping people into a manifestation of one of the 7 deadly sins it could cause status ailments based on them. Here's what I came up with.

Wrath-Berserk
Sloth-Slow
Greed-Poison
Lust-Charm/Immoblize
Envy-Confuse
Pride-Blind
Gluttony-Silence

You can change them around if you want, I just thought this up myself to be honest.)

(Those work for it's use as a weapon. And the corresponding Virtues can cure said ailments.)

But as a "Hey, let's f*** with people" sort of tool, that's gonna get removed and/or locked up. Because, sometimes, all destroying that sort of super weapon will do is promote someone else to make their own version of it.)

(Well MechaGarurumon was aiming for the core, doesn't mean he hit it. Could just say he got the Seaven Shooter instead. It could be that in his final moments when MechaGarurumon was closing in for the slash, he instinctively tried guarding with the arm where the gun was and he got the gun instead of the core.)
