I already made my comment there. but once again, kickass.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Thank you, everyone!

Protoman's turn. Since this is a series now, I must wonder if anyone in the community will find them useful.

NOTE: I deliberately left off alternate armours/costumes (like the Rush Adaptor) and appearances with no concrete design (like Scholastic and the Protomen--there's a helmet, but that's it).

Thank you!  :)

Moving right along--Roll and Kalinka. They're close enough for the latter to be included. (And no flak about Iris's presence here)

Well, that's more of an extra costume--and since all the other Kalinkas are wearing dignity...

I like it better than the current one. but then again, megaman EXE's design never sat that well with me...

A lot of the concepts look cooler, that's for sure--though the one with the jewel in his head comes off to me as "Sigma Jr."...

Here's Bass. All...15 of him. Yeah...and it STILL took me a while. Damn.

These are all awesome. Some of those concept Bass look funny now though. XD

Nice work on the Ariga version though!

From Mr. Ikuta's mangas (he did RM8 and RMnF, plus a one-shot).

I've forgotten the name of the artist, sadly. To the best of my knowledge, they're just funny illustrations that can be found in Capcom's flyers and in Capcom Design Works.

With all the redesigns in the BN series, i'm actually surprised the final was so close to the original thing.  -_-

Anywho, interesting look and work as usual, Gonzo!  :)

Nah, most of the redesigns still look more or less like the original. they have to be easily identifiable. megaman EXE has the helmet thing and a buster...
on second thought, I see your point.

Seriously, I love your design for RSMM.EXE, way better than the current .EXE...

And collages of Roll, Kalinka and Bass...
Amazing again!

Thanks!

Now, I'm about done with my next "All Whoever" compilation, which centers on X. I'm not sure I've gotten all of him, though. I know I'm missing Unknown X (assuming he even exists. I've heard of him and seen a few pieces of fanart that I stupidly didn't save, but NO website, not even the Megaman Knowledge Base, acknowledges him otherwise. I'm confuzzled). As for the ones I have so far:

-X1-X3
-X4-X7
-X8
-Ruby-Spears
-CM
-X8 Concept 1
-X8 Concept 2
-"Ornate X" (Figure)
-X1-X3 In-game
-Butterfly Armor (custom)
-Club Nintendo cameo
-NAdM
-MMZ2 In-game (Real body)
-Cyber-X (floaty ninja butterfly thingy)
-Cyber-X 2 (long dress)
-Gamepro Art
-Model X
-Dead Rising

Can anyone think of anything else?

Ariga and Iwamoto X don't have any significant design changes that I can see, and iX is more of a copy than anything else.

the Cyber X without the long dress...
http://www.freewebs.com/megamanhaven/xspirit.jpg

Copy X,

iX
Return X
Ariga X
Iwamoto X

And so on.
copy or not, they are still variations of X, since they are based directly from study of him.

oh! oh!
pantheons. 8D
besides,

Ariga X has some different design he does. just look at his eyes and stuff. he looks more boyish. more like a kid.
http://img182.echo.cx/img182/353/xpage1100sd.jpg
and has got the typical ariga style tubes going down the neck.
iwamoto X... mmm... ya got me there, but...
Iwamoto's X definetly looks different than other X's.
http://www.drneko.com/scanlation/rmseries/rmx/manga/rmx1v1/e/x1chapter1.php?Result_Set=4
http://www.drneko.com/scanlation/rmseries/rmx/manga/rmx1v1/e/x1chapter1.php?Result_Set=10

plus I think hes the only one who's been shown to cry... anyway, Iwamoto's X has a more squared chest armor. and has big eyes and has eyebrows.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Good points, but the differences between Ariga+Iwamoto and Capcom's are stylistic; a significant change would be removing or altering an aspect of X's design, like the jewel on his helmet (for example). Hence why the box art and Nintendo Power have been excluded.

As for iX, I'm hesitant to include him because, though derived from X, he's not the same character as X--and I hope to create a separate page for the copies throughout the series, so that feels like a better place to put him. (The same goes for Copy X)

...And no one's answered my question about Unknown X. ;_; EDIT: OK, it seems that "Unknown X" is just another name for Not Ninja Butterfly Cyber X. Ghar.
