Protoman's turn. Since this is a series now, I must wonder if anyone in the community will find them useful.

NOTE: I deliberately left off alternate armours/costumes (like the Rush Adaptor) and appearances with no concrete design (like Scholastic and the Protomen--there's a helmet, but that's it).

Well, that's more of an extra costume--and since all the other Kalinkas are wearing dignity...

A lot of the concepts look cooler, that's for sure--though the one with the jewel in his head comes off to me as "Sigma Jr."...

These are all awesome. Some of those concept Bass look funny now though.

I've forgotten the name of the artist, sadly. To the best of my knowledge, they're just funny illustrations that can be found in Capcom's flyers and in Capcom Design Works.

With all the redesigns in the BN series, i'm actually surprised the final was so close to the original thing.

Nah, most of the redesigns still look more or less like the original. they have to be easily identifiable. megaman EXE has the helmet thing and a buster...

Now, I'm about done with my next "All Whoever" compilation, which centers on X. I'm not sure I've gotten all of him, though. I know I'm missing Unknown X (assuming he even exists. I've heard of him and seen a few pieces of fanart that I stupidly didn't save, but NO website, not even the Megaman Knowledge Base, acknowledges him otherwise. I'm confuzzled). As for the ones I have so far:

Ariga and Iwamoto X don't have any significant design changes that I can see, and iX is more of a copy than anything else.

Ariga X has some different design he does. just look at his eyes and stuff. he looks more boyish. more like a kid.

Good points, but the differences between Ariga+Iwamoto and Capcom's are stylistic; a significant change would be removing or altering an aspect of X's design, like the jewel on his helmet (for example). Hence why the box art and Nintendo Power have been excluded.

As for iX, I'm hesitant to include him because, though derived from X, he's not the same character as X--and I hope to create a separate page for the copies throughout the series, so that feels like a better place to put him. (The same goes for Copy X)

~~...And no one's answered my question about Unknown X. ;_;~~ EDIT: OK, it seems that "Unknown X" is just another name for Not Ninja Butterfly Cyber X. Ghar.
