Well, the hub worlds of the 3D games kinda do that, and the general public seemed to prefer the stage approach, hence Galaxy 2's return to the world map.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

D:
I really, really hope that they'll make a non-wind-up version too.

Yes, "booo, where's F-Zero?" 8D *noms cookie anyway*

Solar

Honestly, I feel this is a good sign for F-Zero. And Takamaru too...although if every franchise there is getting something, does that mean they're reviving what appears to be Balloon Fight too?

You want to know how to QUICKLY make a killer app for the Wii U?  Announce that Peach is playable in New Super Mario Bros. U.  It is the simplest, stupidest, most superficial thing imaginable, but something like that is EXACTLY what would hit home with the hardcore Nintendo camp.  Myself included.
XD  Very true, very true.

Naturally Nintendo needs her to be damsel so they can continue to have unpopular Yellow and Blue Toad.

Is it really so hard to just use Wario and Waluigi?

Karai

Maybe they'll keep Wario for the 3DS version. You know, with all that gold around, he'd be the perfect villain.

Honestly, they're more likely to be villains than playable characters if they ever appear. Hell, NSMB2 is the PERFECT chance for that seeing how supposedly gold is a big focus.

Well considering he was introduced in SML2 which did have the moneybag item and capacity for 999 coins, it would be the perfect throwback to that if he was.

Personally,

I still want a Paper Wario RPG.

As do I.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Yeah, it's from last night.

I'm seeing

Zelda Pikmin Metroid Mario
Shin Megami Tensei (? It looks like Jack Frost) Animal Crossing Yoshi ???
The next two I don't know, F-Zero (?) and Balloon Fight (?)

Karai

One of them must be Donkey Kong (that trolley game in NintendoLand). I think it's the leftmost one in the bottom row. It looks just like a ramp.
There should be Luigi's Mansion too, so I think it's not Jack Frost in the middle row.
EDITS:
And that thing on the right looks like Octopus from Game & Watch.
Shuriken is from Nazo no Murasame Jō.

I figured it might be Donkey Kong, but I would've expected a DK instead of girders. And obviously it probably isn't Jack Frost, but it looks exactly the same.

That just leaves the question of the Q-bert looking fellow and the Shuriken.

VixyNyan

You don't remember Jack Bros. on Virtual Boy? Which was a pretty good game btw~ :3

The 3 characters were Jack Frost, Jack Lantern (Pyro Jack) & Jack the Ripper (Jack Skelton). ^^;

My hunch says the Q-Bert looking one is probably the Octopus from the old Game & Watch games. Brings back good memories of the Game & Watch collection on the Game Boy, and more of my dinosaur ramblings.

-EDIT-
LOL ninja'd about the Octopus.

Seeing that new F-Zero screenshot makes me want to buy the old SNES game for my Wii.

Zelda/Pikmin/Metroid/Mario
Luigi's Mansion/Animal Crossing/Yoshi/Game and Watch
Donkey Kong/Nazo no Murasamejo (Takamaru's game)/F-Zero (see pic above)/Ballon Fight (probably, I mean, the icon IS a balloon, what else can it be?)

Thats what it was!

Yeah.
I think the fact it was on Virtual Boy is the problem.

Anyway. Nintendo was [tornado fang]ing boring. I actually quit somewhere half way. Nothing really interesting, besides the Wii-U.
Good God, why did I even bother watching it at all?

I never had a virtual boy, that game was rare as [parasitic bomb] anyway from what I hear.
Some relatives had one though, played the [parasitic bomb] out of Wario Land.

Shame the Nintendo E3 conference sucked from what I hear.

That's pretty much it for E3 then, huh?

She could be unlockable (as Luigi is in several titles), and/or they could feature Daisy and Rosalina as stand-ins.

I agree that Wario and Waluigi would be good choices, as they would emphasize the not-so-trustworthy nature of the multiplayer interaction (even if they are villains they do butt heads with Bowser once in a while; heck Wario was in the SM64 remake).  Waluigi might be a little tricky due to his body size, but a little hunch to his walk would probably work well enough.

And I've always been kinda miffed at the whole multi-colored Toad thing to being with, since they could have just used "the" properly colored Toad and Toadette instead of the blue/yellow clones.
