As far as I know, they once again used CPK files to pack everything, it might be tricky, considering the newer cpk need certain [parasitic bomb] to be extracted.

This might be a problem.
I got to the files alright, but they are in some new HCA/ADX2 format.
As in, encoder for these exist, but this seems to be either compressed or a completely new version.

Namco Bandai confirmed JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle will be released in North America in 2014. CyberConnect2 known for their work on .hack and the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series developed the PlayStation 3 fighting game, which covers all eight arcs of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

This is good news! I can't say I'm too excited since I already have a copy but I'm happy none-the-less. The question now is: how are they going to handle all the band names?

Well if they get permission, I don't see it being that big of an issue. It's not like the rights to a song.

If you look at the gallery these are the specific ones we're looking at.  We don't have to worry too much about series 1-3 since 1 and 2 didn't have Stands and most of 3 Stands were based on Tarot Cards and Egyptian gods, and Vanilla Ice isn't playable.  

Series 4 and on is when they're everywhere.

The Part 5 game for PS2 was originally supposed to come out in the west but didn't happen because some magazine mentioned that it had references to Prince songs in it, Prince's legal team caught wind of this and went into overdrive and as a result, never ended up happening.

I wonder what happened to the Series 1 Phantom Blood game, before All Star Battle the only game that was released was the Series 3 game Jojo's Venture which was a traditional fighting game.  The Part 1 and Part 5 game were also fighting games but were kinda different.

I doubt Taku Iwasaki will be doing any music for this season though, considering he didn't like how David handled his music in Battle Tendency.
