I have not decided the weaponry for each boss yet, except one.  I have not sprited it yet.  Shotgun Buster, from Lunar Mole.

THis is just my opinion, which doesn't matter, but some of those look more like they would fit better as maverick bosses.

Actually, the purpose to this particular project, is the events leading into the X series.  Such as, where did the idea of having elemental animals come from, who was the first scientist to come up with the idea, so on so forth.

Question: Can everybody read the four colored names?  Cause I can fix it so they are readable.

I could do with a bit of help designing this particular boss of mine, and I figured this would be the appropriate place for me to ask.



I know it's crap, but bear with me here.

Essentially, I feel as though he's just too basic and bland in comparison to my other ideas. My intention was to create a Robot Master - Optic Man - who could absorb light via the red lenses on his body, then refract them and release them in the form of huge laser beams. Would anybody be so good as to suggest how I might be able to make him look more, well, interesting and unique?

NB. Please don't bother pointing out the "NES colour limitations" thing, I really don't care.

Well, you could try making him look like an object resembling something that is related to lenses and optic devices. Try looking for some references for such things and think of a way to make it look like a Robot Master.

Most masters have the shape or some charateristics of everyday items. (e.g. Heat Man, Dust Man, Burner Man, most of the RMs in MM10, etc.)

Well, I pretty much did just that - I gave him something of a huge overhaul, so he now resembles something more similar to a huge robotic eye, while retaining the same arms and shoulders.

Most masters have the shape or some charateristics of everyday items.

Here's one of them, called "Polar Woman".


Name: Polar Woman
Weapon: Polar Sphere (a ball of snow that, when it hits something, explodes into 4 smaller balls of ice that bounce around)
Abilities:

- She can fire balls of snow that explode into 4 smaller balls of ice from her hands upon hitting an obstacle.

- She can tackle her foes by sliding on the ground into them like a penguin.

- She can have icicles rain from the ceiling by jumping into the air and landing on the ground. Of course, when she lands on the ground like this, it results in a paralyzing earthquake that stuns players while the screen shakes.

- She can roll around the room in a snowball (by covering herself in snow which she summons into the room) to become invulnerable.

Personality: She's slow, spacey and is overall like Osaka from the "Azumanga Daioh" series.

Overboost Man



Hmmmm... Combat robot, obviously- Mmmm...

Experimental combat robot built by the military. Never actually scheduled to see battle, he was created to test a new energy system overclock mechanism called "Overboost". when activated, it allows the system to run at 60% higher capacity than normal, increasing durability and power output. But the system uses large amounts of energy, so a special fuel called Boost Gel was designed, specifically to work with the overboost system. When using boost gel, its specific composition allows the overboost system to utilize less of the fuel, making it more efficient.

However, Overboost heats up the system very rapidly, and in the worst case scenario, can cause the system itself to literally melt like an overheated motor without oil. To combat this, cooling systems were being studied, sos to make them more compatible with the Overboost system. It was being researched if it was possible to combine the cooling factor into the fuel itself when Overboost man was stolen by Dr. Wily.

Overboost Man's cooling system was never removed in favor of the coolant infused boost gel before he was stolen, and thus still runs on the beta cooling system originally implemented in the Overboost system. Since it is such an imperfect design, to aide his cooling, he requires excessive heat venting, and cannot over work himself in battle, or risk combustion.

Maybe a fire based weapon to speed up his overheating would be effective... Or perhaps a sticky weapon to gum up his exhaust vents...

Using ice based weapons is ill advised, as it would only help his system cool down.

Voltman was built for a stupid goal - to be a resistor. For a chain, which was to connect all the power in the world. Moreover, collected from a variety of waste - a huge bullet, two weak busters, short legs, and a strange helmet.But he was the only one resistor, which never broke down. One day, Wily entered the nuclear power plant, and stole Voltmena. And then he changed the processor. And he gave him weapons - Volt Aura. That's five electric balls that fly around the VM, and can fly at the enemy on one ball (almost like a Dynamo Man).

Infernomаn was invented .... Or rather, it was coined for the destruction of mankind by a great fire, and so on. But he failed to stop. And sent to landfill. Very silly. Wily learned of this maniac, he decided to steal it. And stolen. Weapon - Hell Fire. This - the fire in the form of the skull, which can melt any (almost) metal.
Time to hell - I'll help you get there.

BOX MAN



Box Man

Box Man was built and designed as a Training Robot for a Boxing gym. He was a very popular sparring partner among the boxing crowd, and even entered in various Robot boxing tournaments. He won and retained the world title in robot boxing, never loosing a fight. Wily obviously caught wind of him, and invited him to help train a few of his robots. Box Man unaware Wily was involved, went to the specified location and fought with the Robots Wily then had, beating pretty much all of them without contest. Wily then decided that Box man would be a very good addition to his forces, and was able to subdue him with the help of the recently stolen Overboost Man. He was reprogrammed, and became part of Wily's robot forces.


Hmm. An undefeated robot with experience in fighting, huh? Hmm... Well how exactly did Wily subdue him? it would take INCREDIBLY heightened stamina, strength, and agility to take him down...

Personality: Think Dudley from Street Fighter.

Weapon gained: Boxer strike (basically like Hard knuckle, but close range only)

Bio: Rock's Older Sister (technically his Little Sister) made to help take some of the pressure off Rock's from Dr. Wily's ever presiting attacks and me trying to deny the fact that Dr. Light is sexist o>o; back when I thought that SplashWoman was made my Wily ;

Yoi And Aoi~

Bio: My first to RMs they were designed to be me as a good guy (Yoi) and a bad Guy (Aoi). They evolved into there own characters.

Yoi,and Aoi were created by Dr. NNI to be replacements for the daughters she never had. A tragic accident occurred and Dr. NNI's underwater lab began to break apart she deactivated the two girl bots, split them up, and sent them to Dr. Light (Yoi) and Dr. Wily (Aoi). Who she was "chummy" with in university. Yoi works as a extra helper around the light labs, and Aoi torments the [acid burst] out of wily, and his robots. They both assume the other is dead for various reasons.

Yoi was originally intended to be the MegaMe and made for combat. She can still fight now but doesn't have any built in weapons' system. Her weapon is a paddle, and Aoi's is a chainsaw. Aoi hasn't changed much, other than minor alterations.

Guess where I got there names from (8<
