it's a new art website, they're just barely starting out and it's by-invite membership
they've got somewheres around 500-600 people now?

so far from what i've seen it's pretty solid, here's my thingo
http://xatuism.nabyn.com/

you should post your thingos if you have em
also i could maybe send out invites?? but i'm not sure how to do that yet but it can't be too hard to figure out

as it stands right now it's like deviantart with less vag closeups

i like the profile customization options, some folks are putting em to real neat use

KoiDrake

Looks quite nice, I really dislike the lack of customization dA has, even with the points system it has. I'm too lazy to poke the creator (it says you can do that on the registration page?) but if someone invites me I'll get on it in a heartbeat.

EDIT: Not sure if I said it before, but you have a nice art style. Reminds me slightly of someone I met from another forum

Acid

Reminds me of Cheezy Art, or whatever it was called.

the points system on DA just comes across as really pointless. the most you can do is buy little pixellated badges for your page? and you need a subscription to have a custom journal css, and no other part of your profile can be ground-up customized. that's one place where DA really falls short.

i'm kinda looking at nabyn as some sort of a deviantart replacement, if i can manage to stick to it for any amount of time.

also, thanks!

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Sparky

This place looks pretty flawless from what I can see.

I think I'll set up stuff here, too.

I would try this out, but I don't know what it has to offer aside from being an alternitave to DA. Besides, wasn't there Pixeljoint for pixel junkies such as myself?

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

i don't know anything about pixeljoint since i'm not really into the pixel art scene, but it's all a matter of personal opinion
i personally really like what nabyn has to offer here, one of those things being an environment significantly less insane than deviantart and more refined organization systems

Just you wait.
It will become worse/equal to DA in its faggotry.

Well, let's hope not, rite?

i'm pretty optimistic about it, but there are already dumb 14 year old furries there
nothing can be completely perfect forever

Quickman

Hey, when you get a chance to send out invites, send one my way.  I've been meaning to move from dA (that I don't use anymore) to something much better.

sure, i will when i can

apparently they grant you invites after a lil while of using the site :y so that's why i haven't given any out yet

Krystal

Yanno if I ever hop on board it'd be because it's a place to keep up with the artists on this site.

I don't really do art galleries. Never can be bothered to update them.

Quickman

About the only gallery I maintain (if it can even be called a gallery) is my Failbook page.  I dump images there and leave.  That's pretty much it.

Sparky

On second thought, once you get the power to send invites, don't give one to me off the bat; after a look at most of these people's stuff I feel severely outclassed. <_<
