The Detroit Robocop Statue. This is what it will look like. After they re do it or something, because apparently some of the proportions are wrong.

estimated release date will be next year with the new movie.

mhm.

Nothing's known right know, aside from a leaked plot summary from a while ago that sounded terrible, but I dunno if it was ever confirmed.

One thjing that seemed to feature was that they would nod to the original suit and Robocop's design would undergo changes throughout the movie. Whether that will happen or not, dunno.

What bugs me though, despite poooossibly being a reference to the original, is the right hand.

why. It seems so out of place.

At least the helmet is pretty much the same in terms of basic design and keeping the visor thing, Black is snazzy too.

But yeah, this just won't be the same unless they use practical effects, and just by looking at that shot of NewRobo on the Bike that's held in place with no background behind him gives me this fear that its gonna be a Green Screen fest.

I fear the same for Jurassic Park 4. It wouldn't feel right unless they had Robotic Dinosaurs again.

Um, that bike that's held in place is a filming rig, and they're clearly towing it down a street if the alleged lack of background is to be believed--it's pretty clearly the face of a building.

They're filming a tight shot of Murphy riding down a street. It is a practical effect.

Edit: Also, if you actually zoom in on the picture, you can see a downtown street and traffic pretty clearly in the reflection on Murphy's helmet.

I honestly thought there would be like... a Green Screen behind him so they could put their own background in.
