Well, I'm trying to have fun, too. I want to discuss something that's actually interesting (as I'm sure a lot of other people do), but it's difficult to do when threads with potential get bumped off the face of the board in favor of a bunch of morons screeching like apes because of a scripted get.
Interesting for you. For others, it might not be.

Are you sure you're talking about 4chan?
Yep. Equal opportunity for all. If you don't like it there, just be with your own friends in your own net-group in your own time. 4chan is the proletarietat's board. Everything for everyone in an equal way. If nobody likes the things you say, then face it, nobody there likes you, and you'd be better off in a more closed group. You're not gonna get snuggles or tacklehugs if you try to discuss some kinda game nobody gives a crap about on /v/ out of nowhere. If you introduce it well and try to keep everyone interested, you'll get one hell of as crowd, and maybe a following for that title. I've seen AMAZING threads pop out there about games a few people have played and then get others interested, until it becomes this one big amazing thing. One thing's for sure. Most people there are pretty much open to try ANYTHING at all. There are recomendation lists for all kinds of stuff, and everybody welcomes new people into fanbases. And they take care of each other.

Well, duh. There is a difference between subjective interest and not being a total douchebag, however, especially toward other people.

Well, what I'd meant by that was that not many people on 4chan, if ever, are the way you describe them. The demographic there resembles more contrary children than anything, and any really stupid behavior on their part that happens to meet with criticism is defended with the most stoneheaded zealotry like you would not believe.

Or this is on /v/, at least. At least /b/ has ponies, and they're not as bad anymore.

So you got OFFENDED? Cry me a river. Everybody gets insulted the exact same way. Join the fun instead of bitching about it.

/v/ is my main board. I know how they can get, and they're EXACTLY the way I describe them. It's possible to talk to /v/ about any game whatsoever, as long as people are in the mood and get to talking about intricacies within the game. Except in /v/, you don't carefully word stuff and have rich discussions about how moist Liara's interchangeable sexual organs are. You talk about moments and experiences, and about how totally awesome they can be. Put up a topic about a VERY rich-in-content game such as Mount & Blade, and you will come up with riches. We've been having AMAZING threads about Devil May Cry lately, due to the crap game being released soon. People discuss the saga story, share fanart and theories about how it was supposed to go, and introduce others to the game as well. I see people having FUN, which is more than I can say for the usual circlejerks that most forums turn into.

Instead of getting offended about it and giving up, delve deep and figure out how to control it. It's always the most honest place online, because with limitless rage and out-of-bounds control, you can get anything from anyone. 90s experiences that were lost, fantastic nostalgia and bros able to do anything for anyone at the right moment. It's having a massive wave of unknown people who just show up there, together, enjoying something because they're having so much fun at the moment.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Where are you getting this?

I mean, this is like going into an Italian restaurant and listening to someone yelling about how he can't find any bitches and hoes, and can't find no dope, either, my point being that at least there should be at least some level of organization, instead of having people stinking up other boards with their bullshit. Of course, those who would call them out on it become the "fun police". I suppose I should play that card the next time I decide to take a [parasitic bomb] on my neighbor's carpet or start a campfire inside a library.

I don't really want insightful dissertations on how the diaspora of Japanese culture into the United States has affected comic book sales. I just don't was people acting like douchebags, but then again, taking into consideration the userbase of 4chan, I suppose they do have an internet-underground, aloof, uncaring, anarchic and edgy image to uphold. "We are anonymous" and all that.

Lemme conclude this dialogue with one single thing:

THAT'S THE WHOLE DAMN POINT.

Complete and total anarchy, chaos and "everything's permitted aside from a little modding to prevent child porn" is what 4chan's about. It's what it was made for. And none of the Anonymous mentality, which has done several great things with their campaigns and efforts, would be possible without it. It's not a place for people to feel incredibly welcome in, or to feel coddled. It's not a place that has any order whatsoever, or in which you can have ANY level of importance. The majority is simply a formless mass that discusses and talks about stuff in any manner they want. And it works. And it's still the only place online where EVERYONE can hang out at and feel just as welcome as everyone else. Don't compare it to being in a public place and feeling uncomfortable about something that shouldn't be happening. This level of non-organization is the whole point as to why the board exists, and what can happen within it. And /v/ alone carries quite alot of weight in the games' industry, simply because it's the only board about video games in which you can trust people to always speak the truth. That's why it almost singlenhandedly propelled games like Minecraft to success, got Red Orchestra on top of Steam stuff before release, and has Mount & Blade enjoy so much popularity. It does things no other place on the net could never dream of, for that reason alone. The disorganization is what makes so many people happy to be there and to enjoy everything.

Basically, "If you mad, geddout."

Now let's get back to posting pictures in the posting pictured topic, shall we? PM me if you have any other doubts.

It's an ad for funeral services. That says come a little closer. With subway tracks in between the platform and sign.

I think that's rather fail myself. I mean, I'm all for drumming up business... but I don't think that's the right way nor the right industry to do that with.

I think a more appropriate caption would be "hey hold on... I think it may be a trap..."
