Here's one thing I played as a little kid.

Unfortunately, trying to take screenshots of the game proper (both images were taken from folders viewable before starting the game) not only resulted in LSD-coloured garbage, but the results couldn't be transferred elsewhere (apparently the images are corrupt). Which is a shame, since there's some nice (albeit pixel-y) art there.

That's what I used. (Oddly, it works fine with Kidpix. Maybe that's because there's almost no anti-aliasing)

Pretty sure it does.

Actually, I tried screencapping on Windows 98 (XP disc drive is borked and Vista is too far ahead); I was told that its Print Screen Key wasn't very good.

I would have suggested running it in window mode and print screen.
If it doesn't have a window mode, you can probably force it, or use an emulator like DOSBox.

I remember trying to install Scoolhouse rock onto my old XP.([parasitic bomb] was fun.) colors were all [tornado fang]'d and [parasitic bomb] didnt work.

Same for that one Lego demo CD rom I had. (which had demos for Pizza Island 2, and a trailer for the first Bionicles.)

That's why you gotta use DOSBox or some emulator, as Windows moved forward, DOS was phased out, so it's support became limited to nothing.
