It's no secret I sold mine to buy a PS2 a while back. Anyway....
- I'm getting tired of where the games industry is going in terms of titles. (Outside of Kickstarter, innovation seems to be dying a slow death)
- Tired of all this "Exclusive Pre-Order DLC/Season Pass" garbage. If I'm paying upwards of £40 for a game, I want the whole game, not half of it with the rest sliced off for DLC.
- Hate the whole "PS+ is Mandatory on PS4" thing. I get that the free games and discounts are the incentive, but I'm not really an online-multiplayer kinda guy and having to pay simply to access certain features annoys me.
- In a similar vein to the above, I prefer single-player experiences, and older systems cater for that particular preference quite nicely.
- Yes, the PS4 has unique titles. But most of what I'm seeing are simply ports or remasters. If it isn't a AAA title, it doesn't get made anymore. I can't get excited for the FF7 remake, because I still have the original on my Vita.
- And, *personally* I don't care for any of the "killer apps" the PS4 has.
But hey, just personal preference. That's all.
Oh, and not having one is saving me a fortune in games.
