Add to that a 100-disc stack entirely full of (mostly) burned DVDs (with a few original, retail DVDs sneaking here and there), and a second 100-disc stack at around 3/4 of its capacity.

speaking of burned disks, you know how burned cd's go bad after a few years? well does that apply to dvd's too?

Yes, they do. But if you keep them in a dry place away from natural light, they last much longer.
